Ranking too high?
I just won my 12th ranked game in a row and I'm somewhat worried about me getting too high up in the ranks. My card collection isn't that diverse yet and out of the few, few legendaries that I have, I have obtained three Tsubakis in a row, which isn't exactly helping matters. Are there people like me out there as well, or am I going to face against people that has 10+ legendaries per deck sooner or later?

What rank are you?
Yes to both. If you'd like to avoid that situation though, only play ranked when you have ranked missions or want a certain score reward before the month ends.
If you want to finish dailies easily by beating up low rank players, then stay in C and below

B is where people start having real decks
A and above is where people start playing those decks well
Thanks for the replies, everyone!

Is there any way to keep myself in a fairly low rank so I can have time to buy more packs or will I have to keep winning until I suffer losses equivalent to the amount o points obtained per win to stay where I belong?

Yes, just concede every match in ranked and you will get downranked.
Just don't go to B since B0 cannot go back into C3
Did you seriously make a thread about trying to prolong how much you get to beat up on players with fewer cards/less wins than you?

The entire ladder is designed to match players with similar match counts - you have to be really bad to avoid climbing (like 30% winrate bad before A rank, or 40-45% winrate bad before Master rank). Intentional camping is just a way to ruin the game for new players and drive them away, and the ones that stay will have artifically high rank because of all these camp conceders.
I'm at A1 with a fairly weak collection and see plenty of other people who are clearly substituting legendaries for cheaper cards in their decks, but overall opponents do have more legendaries than I do. If you're going to intentionally stop ranking, atleast do it in B. There's no functional difference between C and B, apart from there being slightly less newbies in B.

Well, that's quite an interesting way to control where I'll be. Thanks again!

Lol no. You have eyes for a reason, use them.

My original post was asking for information about what I'll expect if I keep doing what I'm doing in the future. The SV community convinced me to stay at a specific rank to deal with my worries, which I agreed to do.

Geez, we always have those people that jumps straight to conclusions.
its a stupid question. you are going to spend hours chain conceding to rank down just to not lose to people with a better deck? the logic fails me

I'm only taking it into suggestion. If I were to aim for the cosmetics that require 12k points to obtain, winning too much will just make my life more difficult.
If you asked me whether I'd fight people with a better deck or fight people with a deck similar to mine, I'd choose the latter. I don't believe I'm that good at the game anyways, I need to practice and refine myself for a couple more months while still obtaining more cards and score rewards.

Personally I'd like to know your opinion as well, unless you're not a F2P player, in which case the logic behind your statement would fail me as well.

K. You want your post picked apart, fine.

"Ranking too high?"

No, you're just where other players of similar win count are.

"I just won my 12th ranked game in a row and I'm somewhat worried about me getting too high up in the ranks."

Why, because your high winrate might drop a few percentage points? You think the twelve people you beat in a row are going to appreciate queuing back into you when you decide to camp a rank? I'd rather one person quit (the camper) than twelve (the new players who keep running into people like you who don't belong in their current rank).

"My card collection isn't that diverse yet and out of the few, few legendaries that I have, I have obtained three Tsubakis in a row, which isn't exactly helping matters."

Currently running three Tsubaki in my best Ranked deck. What's the problem with pulling multiple of a good Legendary? You could have pulled the variety of currently useless Legendaries in Shadowcraft/Bloodcraft/Runecraft (besides Merlin) instead.

"Are there people like me out there as well, or am I going to face against people that has 10+ legendaries per deck sooner or later?"

Let me list off some decks that aren't restricted by budget, built by players with full collections, that are among the best decks to use in Ranked.

Bird Haven: Uses 0-3 Legendaries (Moon is optional and more often than not is not ran in the deck), and is the most popular deck in the game to play in Ranked when considering all ranks. Elana Haven is in a similar position (some run Moon, but its not common. Ditto with Seraph.) and is the next most popular build of Haven.
Aggro Bats: Uses 0 Legendaries, and is the current best build of Bloodcraft.
Dimensional Shift Rune: Uses 0-3 Legendaries (Different players run different ratios of Timeworn Mage Levi and Merlin. It is pretty normal to see 2-3 Merlin, but builds teched against Aggro will run fewer Merlin and more Levi.), and is the current best build of Runecraft.
Banner Sword: Typically uses 0 Legendaries, may tech up to a few (Aurelia and Otohime are tech choices, but both are more commonly seen in Midrange Sword. Banner Sword tends to avoid Legendaries so that Maid Leader is assured to draw only Royal Banner.)
Aggro Shadow: Uses 3 Legendaries (Three copies of Cerberus), and is the current best build of Shadowcraft.
Face Dragoncraft: Comes in two varities (Pure Storm Spam, and "Ambush" Dragon that uses "Can't be attacked" followers), both only really want 3 copies of Forte as a Legendary. Is currently the best way to run Dragoncraft.

Sure, there are decks that are reliant on a higher number of Legendaries. Forestcraft pretty much has to run 3 Ancient Elf and 3 copies of multiple Gold cards at a minimum, and often techs 0-2 copies of Tia. Control Sword, which is about the only Grinder style deck in the meta thanks to D-Shift Rune existing, does run quite a lot of Legendaries (my build runs 3 Aurelia/3 Otohime/3 Alexander/1 Lucifer/2 Odin/1 Olivia). But there's a viable deck for every class that runs three or fewer Legendaries and can hit top rank right now...and I'm talking about higher level players. You're facing total budget builds piloted by awful players, and that won't change until high A rank at least!

If you run into a deck running "10+ Legendaries" and it isn't specifically Control Sword, its a badly built deck that a whale player made because they could, not because its good. This could change after the expansion, but its true right now.

"Lol no. You have eyes for a reason, use them."

Don't mind offending someone who is making a goal of scaring away other newer players, but feel free to tell me what I'm missing from your posts.

"My original post was asking for information about what I'll expect if I keep doing what I'm doing in the future. The SV community convinced me to stay at a specific rank to deal with my worries, which I agreed to do."

They gave you the answer you wanted to hear. Reality is, without gaming the system by intentional forfeit, everyone who is below A rank will climb to A rank with a winrate as pathetic as 30-35% because of how win streaks work and because of reduced point loss/increased point gain at those ranks. A rank cuts out the win streak bonus, but keeps the +150 win/-70 loss when matched against a high enough opponent, so you can still climb at A and AA ranks with around a 42-45% winrate. The players who were bad but managing that 30-35% winrate are all in that A0-A2 range and typically piloting a netdeck or budget meta deck, but doing it badly. There's a significant jump in player ability around 28000-30000 points, and again once you hit AA1 rank (the first rank that will match you vs Master rank players, which you get to play quite often judging by my recent experience).

So I'm guessing you're somewhere around 10000 or fewer points, but worried the "tough" competition at C or B rank will be too much for you. The few people who are either whales or playing well at a casual pace might steal a win now and then, but pretty much anyone with prior TCG experience can ride a 80-90% winrate all the way to A0 rank without much of a problem, even with a budget deck.

"Geez, we always have those people that jumps straight to conclusions."

Pot, kettle, black.

like this post . lol but haze made this post just to brag about his winning streak I believe and Disguised as a question thread. Glad you saw through it. He is a pretty big (terrible) troll that can be loved for the out right humor he brings in.

He is an excellent English Teacher though. Can find any post in a thread and find the misspelling mistakes anywhere. It is a amazing!

but still like your post. was nice to read.

Made a minor edit, was going off memory and forgot to list the two Odin I'm running. Yeah, I'm running probably the current most expensive deck archetype in the current meta (and I love that the main English "meta" site just now realized Control Sword isn't Tier 2). But it has <5% representation at high ladder, with Midrange being more common at all ranks and Banner being more common at most ranks before Master.

There you go! I like this post much better because your first one made you sound like an ignorant fool. I love it, my comrade!

Now, I wouldn't be bothered to reply to literally every single point that you have made (I honestly enjoy debates and arguments) but the last time I did this with someone else, my thread went up to 700+ posts before I got banned for a week due to monopolization so I'll refrain from doing so. I'll agree to disagree with you in lieu, but I must thank you once again for taking apart my post piece by piece. It's especially beautiful when my opponent replies to every single thing I said instead of ignoring the parts that they can't argue against me about.

Let us meet some other time, I understand that my experience in this game is incomparable to yours. This was, in it's most basic form, just a question, anyways... There's no reason to make a rebuttal on everything you said. When a time comes when I made a point that I'd be more than willing to defend, I'll be sure to rip your post apart piece by piece as well :)

Have a nice day, good sir! No sarcasm here, I swear.
