Shadowverse

What are some good tips for deck building?
hey there, when i played hearthstone i was a bit too net-decky. coming to shadowverse (especially while my collection is still in the growing phase) i want to learn how to actually build my own decent decks instead of net decking other peoples. Even if i come to the same conclusion as others, i want to reach the conclusion myself rather than auto piloting

What are some good tips for building strong decks?

decide on your win condition first and build around it

as you play try and keep note of which cards are performing well and which ones you are groaning at seeing.

make changes based on your current meta. if you are seeing lots of roach decks you might want some wards to play around turn 6-8 for example.

Most decks are going to want more low-cost cards than higher-cost cards. Even endgame-focused Dragon decks aren't likely going to want to cross the 50/50 threshold. And with that said, I have two more bits of advice. You want to be able to use as many orbs as you can, each turn; and if you're failing to use most of them regularly, your deck may need some reworking. Also, if you find yourself running out of cards too often; you probably need either more card-drawing cards or more higher-cost cards. Possibly both.

Wait for the nerds to come up with great decks and copy it. Then act like you made that ♥♥♥♥ yourself.

- Look for your 'win' card and build around it.

- A good curve and choice of your cards so that you won't end up passing turns or drawing dead cards. In general it's good to have more low pp cards and less high pp cards unless you're building around it.

- Try to be synergystic as possible with your card choices. Add cards that are useful on their own but is even more devastating with another card.

- Trial and error. Fight actual good players. Reduce or remove cards that don't feel right and add more cards that do well with your playstyle.
