The 80% of the playerbase is from Japan so it's a no wonder they are Japanese.

You play a japanese game and complain about them being there?
RideDeShoopuf 2/abr./2017 às 7:50
Hey now guys. Let me just say that just cause I live in the u.k doesn't mean it's degenerate hours. Early morning on a sunday is perfect relaxation time.

Also eh maybe then it's just my decks or the fact that I'm not used to such a wide variety of strategies and deck builds. Hence the ask above if anyone has deck tips to help me get better.

ALSO surprisingly the game has been pretty lenient on my starting hands. Sure I never have 1 drops but most of my decks don't really use 1 drops...

Tbh I didn't know that the japanese servers were also linked with american and eu servers so cut me some slack here guys.

Basic stuff like dont fill your deck with 35 8+cost cards and so on but it can be useful if you are newbie.

Or just put here your deck-via -> https://shadowverse-portal.com deckbuilder-> enter deck code

i m sure that many players r capable of typing few hiragana or katakana even if they r not japanese, especially with the google translate internet around... イージスを嫌いだ! ... something like that

True, not everyone with such names are japanese. There is also japanese with names written with english letters and foreign flags.
But you can see when someone is faking like this google translated name in the quote, because grammar.

What exactly are deck codes for? Like does it rate your deck or upload it and rate it or something? Or is it a code that you can then use in game to make a deck out of those cards if you own them?

Also regarding the possibility of people using katakana and hiragana even though they're not japanese you raise a valid point. I'm not sure though I've just gone up against a lot of people with their names typed in kanji so I've assumed. Probably the worst thing for me to do.

Anyway hope you guys have had a nice day I'm gonna try and go make some decks.

A Deck Code can be used to transfer or share decks.
Generate a deck code and give it to someone else, and they can make your deck.
Or get a deck code and use it to make a deck that someone else made.

Many people whom i often assume to be Japanese players tend to use the Flags of Bangadesh, Macedonia or Palau due to their similarity to either the Hinomaru or (in Macedonia's case)the Kyokujitsu-hata. Some other Japanese players seem to use flags of other nations stereotypically regarded well in Japan (e.g. France).

Incidentally, i've noticed behaviour differences in people depending on whether or not i use my national flag. People become more/less talkative and willing to use 'conversational' emoticons, or maybe i'm looking for it a bit too much...

I know my folks, they choose the flags based on how cool they find it, if ever.

Actually you are looking far too deep into this. There is also few types of players in our basements:
- those who think using emotes is about provoking the opponents, so they don't use it
- those who spams emotes to provoke you
- those who is absolutely neutral to this
Being talknative or not is unfortunately not a reliable reason.

Well I always say hello and attempt to interact with other players regardless of what nationality they appear to be of, although I will admit when I run accross a japanese player and they're playing forestcraft I immediately buckle in my seat belt, fully prepared for a path to purgatory depletion deck. Despite this fact I always make sure to end with hello if I actually win that matchup lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZp_XLwaDSM
