I read another comment here saying a less constrained story would be good. Maybe yes. This overworld map you automatically travel on in the game, it mildly begs to be used in some sort of at least semi-open gameplay. But this may come at the cost of narrative power. Not everything has to be "open world", they are downsides to it. And obviously it makes things more complicated in a sense. I thought how they made it so you switch characters in the middle of story was pretty neat. Not sure if that could have been done as easily if they had made this some open world-ish game. Not saying it's a bad concept per-se, I've played my fair share of open world games. But people should be aware of the costs at which open world may come.
