How to use offering blessing?
Gamepedia on Offering Blessing: Potions can be sacrificed at Shrines to reduce the cost by 20%. AND Potions can be dropped on Altars in order to identify them. How do i do this? I dropped the potion on top of altar and nothing happened, left it there for like 20 secs, re picked and tried again. Do i have to press some key? Tried random keys but couldn't find anything. Except accidentally consuming the potion :D. The problem happened in co op btw.

Also how do you combine things? We tried throwing two bombs on the altar but it did not do a thing. Maybe it just works on weapons?

Here's how the offerring blessing works
Tier 1 - Drop potions at Shrines to reduce thier cost
Tier 2 - Drop potions on Altars to identify them

You can only combine equipables, however do note that not all can be combined.

This is exactly what I tried to do. I dropped potions on both shrines and altars but nothing happened. The tier 2 info was helpful, I understand now that altars didn't work as I was only tier 1. I will retry on shrines, last time i ran out of patience after a few minutes...

Do I need to stand in front of the shrine or do I have to try to toss the potion so that it lands in front of shrine? It tosses stuff quite far when you drop them.

We managed to successfully combine stuff on altars tho :). It seems combining does not work on bombs and some other accessorries

If you have tier 2 Offering, the potion is consumed and it is revealed what the potion was. For obvious reasons, it only makes sense to do this if you have more than one of the same potion.

You have to make the potion land right in front of the shrine, not beside it. Stand next to the shrine, facing it, and then drop the potion from your inventory.

On a side note, identifying potions at the altar is a waste IMO. They are much more valuable as a sacrifice to lower the cost of Health Shrines late-game, which become prohibitively expensive if you have been spending gold anywhere else. Also, I typically will just drink any unknown potion I come across as soon as I get it. This way, by the end of the game I have identified most, if not all, of the potions and can use them more tactically when needed.
