What's your favorite weapon and why is it Crimson Blade?
It's come to my attention that there are people who play this game who don't exclusively use the Crimson Blade at every opportunity, and that's just sad.

On only one occasion have I managed to create the Mega Shadow Sword and Bow, it's a shame I didn't get to use the sword because I already had a basic Crimson Sword in my inventory.

Let's look at the pros and cons of this dank beast of a sword:

Pros:
-You literally will live forever, holy crud +3 hp PER KILL, and thats BEFORE you upgrade it.
-This badass godly sword makes Cleric's Orb look like a ball of garbage in comparison.
-It's called Crimson Sword because it'll be stained with the blood of all who oppose you.
-

Cons:
-It makes every other sword look worthless.
-You will feel like less of a man if you haven't acquired it.
-Even a baby will dominate this game with this sword.
-You might forget you have a bow and other items.
-You will likely lose your family as you come to love Crimson Blade more than them.

You forgot to mention that it can cut through a whole cave and still slice a tomato.

I dunno about everyone else, but I stopped using it because it's utterly broken.

The game has ALOT of balance issues. The "heal when you do a thing" type is the worst. It feels like I just hit the win button when I get such a thing, which is really boring.

If I actually wanted to do a 5-relic run, I might use this, but.... I refuse to do any of that. Not happening.

The sword isn't as good as you make it out to be. 5 HP per enemy when it's supered? If you're taking damage at all, you're playing wrong. In order for its effect to be useful, you have to be injured, and that is the core problem.

Here's a better option: Shadow weapons and Shadow Ball. Combine those things together, especially with anything that buffs Shadow Ball damage and Charge Speed, you end up with something that can restore 20 HP every time it charges and sends out a healing/damage attack. In one game, every two shadow-bow attacks were charging my orb, which healed me for 46 HP. I mean, I already had 550 HP because of a lucky early Might blessing, but I digress.

You have to get in close with your sword to be useful, and if you do that, you'll be taking damage. A bow is the better endgame choice, and all endgame destruction builds will generally rely on it.

P.S. The Moonstone sword makes you take 10% less damage, and when coupled with a Fire Ring makes you immune to fire. Nuff said. Hell, the Demon Blade gives you 20% damage resist and blocks all melee attacks from the front. Invaluable.

Eh. While I do love rampant health gain, I prefer a weapon that's actually, you know, fun. Of course, fun doesn't necessarily mean good or stable.

I always enjoy the Pomegranite Bow or Occulent Orbs with the Twofold perk. However, my overall favorite is probably the Xandu Blaster. It's just so absurd.

On a side note, my last playthrough blessed me with a great time. Twofold perk, twofold blessing tier 2, ricochet tier 1, a Super Tripleshot Bow, and some other gravy. That was good ♥♥♥♥.

One run I actually had a super Crimson Blade and level 2 Life Drain, it was ridiculous. I find when I have it I'm always trying to get into melee range and end up taking MORE damage.

If you want to do a post about best magic accessory I vote Crystal Skull. That thing is OP and makes the last boss a joke, especially if you have magic recharge.

Playing around with 5 multi-shot perks in the arena, which slows your attack speed by 75%, really demonstrates the ridiculous power of the Xandu Blaster. It isn't affected by attack speed buffs or debuffs, so you can ♥♥♥♥ holy fire on enemies with five rapid fire bullets. Combine with tier 2 bounce and tier 2 pierce, you're holding a WMD in your hands.

I like the whip.

@Klokinator That sounds like a delightful time.

if your fav weapon is crimson blade, it's because you haven't tried demon blade.

The DB is godlike when you're doing bow-only runs in the arena. Deflecting melee attacks from the front and a 20% damage reduction... it can't be beat!

it always is.

My favorite melee weapon is the Crystal sword. Combo it with the easily obtainable T1 champion's blesing, you can whale on enemies lightning fast like a chainsaw, permanently stunlocking them.

Hmm...I would personally go with reaper scythe and the bow that fires 3 shots in a straight line...
and in the end levels I would just use the bow :)
