Pros:
-You literally will live forever, holy crud +3 hp PER KILL, and thats BEFORE you upgrade it.
-This badass godly sword makes Cleric's Orb look like a ball of garbage in comparison.
-It's called Crimson Sword because it'll be stained with the blood of all who oppose you.
-It makes every other sword look worthless.
-You will feel like less of a man if you haven't acquired it.
-Even a baby will dominate this game with this sword.
-You might forget you have a bow and other items.
-You will likely lose your family as you come to love Crimson Blade more than them.
Cons:
-
The game has ALOT of balance issues. The "heal when you do a thing" type is the worst. It feels like I just hit the win button when I get such a thing, which is really boring.
If I actually wanted to do a 5-relic run, I might use this, but.... I refuse to do any of that. Not happening.
Here's a better option: Shadow weapons and Shadow Ball. Combine those things together, especially with anything that buffs Shadow Ball damage and Charge Speed, you end up with something that can restore 20 HP every time it charges and sends out a healing/damage attack. In one game, every two shadow-bow attacks were charging my orb, which healed me for 46 HP. I mean, I already had 550 HP because of a lucky early Might blessing, but I digress.
You have to get in close with your sword to be useful, and if you do that, you'll be taking damage. A bow is the better endgame choice, and all endgame destruction builds will generally rely on it.
P.S. The Moonstone sword makes you take 10% less damage, and when coupled with a Fire Ring makes you immune to fire. Nuff said. Hell, the Demon Blade gives you 20% damage resist and blocks all melee attacks from the front. Invaluable.
I always enjoy the Pomegranite Bow or Occulent Orbs with the Twofold perk. However, my overall favorite is probably the Xandu Blaster. It's just so absurd.
On a side note, my last playthrough blessed me with a great time. Twofold perk, twofold blessing tier 2, ricochet tier 1, a Super Tripleshot Bow, and some other gravy. That was good ♥♥♥♥.
If you want to do a post about best magic accessory I vote Crystal Skull. That thing is OP and makes the last boss a joke, especially if you have magic recharge.
and in the end levels I would just use the bow :)
