We've changed the Extreme Mode achievement to now unlock much faster. It still takes a couple hours, but fewer than ten. Sorry we kind of missed the mark on that joke.
I don't know what they changed. When starting a new game, again 30min - 30min - 3 hours. In the old save as it was 6 hours (from 8 hours) and is. I do not know even to look for a miracle in the new save or return to the old save
I don't know, but updated and still play the waiting game. If they wanted to make desert bus stuff at least do it properly with some gameplay.
I’ll have to check this new update thing out, last I played Extreme mode I had 8 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hours of “Sleeping” short after the driving until the sun sets.
The game just flagged yet another update, though this one was a 0b update - whatever that changed..
The old one
I'm glad you noted this, I was surprised how few people caught the reference via the achievement's name.
I'd much rather leave my PC open with HB windowed for a week to get an achievement than ACTIVELY play Desert Bus. Though, Desert Bus is often showcased at speedrunning charity events as a lark of sorts. :)
