strong builds
Heyho,
as there are a f**kton of possible attachments combinations (which I love), I wanted to ask around what strong builds others have discovered.
At the moment Im going with
Offensive Aura, Synergetic Mesons, Shield and
Gaus Cannon, S-Wave, Mini Shockwave.
Got 187 Attachments unlocked.
Pilot is Sarah because shield-ult is op. :)

MISSILES! I've been rolling missile builds. Mirv missile, drill missile, and swarmfire barrage are pretty powerful together.
I have found that using

Flack cannon
Hot S-wave (combine S-wave and heatray)
Triphased beam (combine laser beam, ion beam and plasma beam)
Prismatic beam

Makes for a pretty decent combo. but still trying out different combos of weapons and seeing if I can improve the damage.

my sarah build is (though i main marcus)

battle pods adj
subspace reactor
micro jump drive imp
kill strike
regen slip shield

alpha meson imp
radioactive side adj
nuclear singularity (early lvs instead of this i use swarmfire barrage adj til i get plasma lved)
wavecrasher imp
hot s-wave

key to this build is dont hold the fire button tap it. hot s-wave (flamethrower) gets turned
into a railgun by alpha meson imp. after around 30 some taps the firing spd will slow down
same as overheat system. so give it breaks when you get the time to.

this build can 1 shot chargers and 3 shot cruisers. as long as you have meson lved up.

also the build requires moving up and down alot. if you like standing in 1 spot or moving very
little just dodging stuff this build isnt for you.


another build i have is


battle pods adj
subspace reactor
micro jump drive imp
kill strike
side grease imp

drill missiles adj
broad starside adj
switch blaster adj
swarmfire barrage adj
radioactive mesons adj

this build is the reverse of the last your be sitting in the very center of the screen
most of the fight due to switch blaster range and broad starside shooting.


almost any use of broadside works much better with side grease then without it.


also just want to meantion even though stuff like broadside can fuse with 2 other sides
it can still combo with most the rest of the sides. just takes up 2 slots instead of 1 but they
are all interesting and fun.


i know you say you only have 187 attachments use regulars instead of adj/imp or
if you dont have something just use something else you enjoy to replace it.

what really matters is what you like.

I find that to be a pretty good combo, ewspecailly with flack, but doesn't work with gauss cannon sadly, as that replaces it.

But Hot S-wave is pretty powerful, even before you add other stuff on top. worth getting and experimenting with it.

nuclear singularity (didn't realise how powerful this baby is until I trield it, it melts most stuff

Flack cannon, (I think this works better with S-wave and Hot S-wave IMO

Still trying to unlock battle pods adj, and that is just taking too long, as I really want the extra slots.

Still, this is a nice combo, and can shred the later hard route levels with ease. also I'm using Biff, I think the ship is great, and very good for minefield. (one of my least favourite levels, but managable with Biff's laser

yea once you get 5 plasma nuclear singularity good and 7-8 plasma it just rocks shooting 3-4
out by the time the first 1 explodes on the right side.

saw in your first post you meantioned prismatic beam. have you tried either of these yet?
tesla cannon comboed with it.
or ultimate enhancer with biff?
ultimate enhancer imp makes biff ulti into a prismatic ulti though only the straight forward one
destroys projectiles.

on marcus (main) i use

battle pods adj

ultimate enhancer imp

module weapon

ultimate enhancer imp on marcus gives his ult radioactive.

as far as helping to unlock battle pods adj "attachment specialist" helps unlock adj/imp/fusions.

I tried tesla cannon with prismatic beam, that is pretty nice, but i still prefer Triphased beam, still either beam are good against small to medium ships, and surface levels. I still prefer the stun of the Triphased beam.

As for ultimate enhance, yes that is just amazing, I did unlock that attachment recently, but have tried it in a chaos module setup, so know how powerful the attachment is.

but for raw damage, I like the newer setup that I'm using, (with nuclear singularity) makes a lot of levels, a bit easier, especailly bosses.

Just got Hot S-Wave and tried it with Flak Cannon - awesome! :)
Anyone knows how tu unlock nuclear singularity?
first off, have you saved the lone ship? (lone ship level) you must protect him all the way through, including the boss fight. (Biff's beam is pretty good here) if you save the ship, you will get singularity cannon, on the next level, then you need to unlock mini nukes, then combine the two

i tried hot s-wave + flak just now. i feel like the time it takes to kill bosses is a little faster then
hot s-wave + alpha meson imp but the score i got at the end for both total score and damage score were a bit lower then my record. i havent played since before christmas though so im a little rusty might be why though i feel they are probably about even. (mostly rusty on micro jump
drive imp) (also havent played before christmas due to all the stuff i bought in the winter sale
that im now playing)

i will say there also the difference of with flak you lv up spread; while with alpha mesons
i dont lv up spread at all when i beat all the hard lvs. i just lv up mesons, spd, plasma, side,
missiles, and then get lifes or drones mattering on whether i want to have fun or go for a score run.

cause with alpha meson + hot s-wave i do alot of overkill damage which lets my score get
higher then just killing the enemy health worth. also with flak + s-wave i couldnt decide if
holding the fire button down or tapping was better with it. i felt like both were good but in
different ways. that might have also effected my score a little.

i would have to test more to really say which is better. but to me they seem about even
a little lower score for faster boss killing as a trade off.

i think til spread is a little lved up that hot s-wave + alpha meson imp is better on the first round or 2 but i feel once spread gets higher that flak + hot s-wave just a bit better.

again its just difference i feel about them though i could be wrong im not trying to offend
in any way. just my experience with comparing them.

also i used marcus for the test since hes my best. incase that also effects it.

Its what so great about the game, so many combos, so it really depends on what you like, and feel is better. I do like Hot S-wave personally, as its very effective against most small to medium ships,

while nuclear singularity is good against bosses. so there is a lot of choice. whatever works for you.
i agree it is whats so great about the game.

and yea hard 5 and hard 6 are so much more easier with nuclear singularity then without it.
hard 7 of course is easier too but vs that final boss on hard i just find the most needed thing is that micro jump tele makes that fight way easier then without it since you can tele past the beams. nuclear singularity still makes a big difference in that fight just the tele makes even a bigger difference in that boss fight.
i tested out the swarmfire barrage adj + mirv missile adj surprised mirv only doubles the
swarmfire barrage but its still really good.
was running it with joe on easy stages for fun got up to 36 points in missiles bewteen
having all 3 missile module upgrades (yes missile master, missile master adj, and missile
enthusiast do stack) and joe with ultimate enhancer imp giving him +5 to missiles for a total
of +11 to missiles, counting swarmfire barrage adj +1.

besides that tested out that auto cannon i just unlocked with nuclear singularity.
auto cannon does shoot nuclear singularity incase you guys were interested in knowing that.

also a friend told me his testing that autogun adj but not basic autoguns shoot GoD.
