I want a sequel
I'm hoping that we will see a sequel sometime in the future. I loved this game and would 100% buy a sequel. The other games the developer made or are making (the mmo) don't interest me.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story™ is by the same devs and is literally the same style of gameplay - with improvements - in every way. I know it's not a sequel but it's genuinely the closest thing.

Absolutely loved RK. I would LOVE a sequel to that or BC, but sadly I don't think we will get one for a long one. Or even another RPG like those two. They are a little consumed with Wayfinder right now.

Unfortunately, Battle Chaser's story in the comics is on hiatus for many years now. I doubt the devs will make a sequel of BC ever. Which is a shame because I actually wish for a sequel of this game too.

I know there is Ruined King but as far as I know, it is a linear game and also I don't care about LOL's story or characters. I played LOL very long ago and its toxic community is what made me decide to forever never have anything to do with the game for the rest of my life.

It’s not anymore linear than BC lol

If you like the gameplay of BC, you’ll most likely love RK. Regardless of its affiliation to LoL.

I actually haven’t played League in a few years, but the last time I was on, it was x1000 more tame then it used to be. Riot has cracked down HARD on abuse in that game.

It's probably because the game didn't make enough money to warrant a sequel.

Sadly, because Turn-Based RPGs are more of a "niche". Aside from a couple anomalies like Baldur's Gate 3, it's not very often we get "big" TB games anymore. Even one of the biggest suppliers of TB RPGs, Final Fantasy, have moved away from that genre.

+1 this game is awsome.

I think its one of the best modern RPG with "old" mechanics, really like the art style and the balance its good, one thing that its awesome its the fact the game is challenging, something that most publishers dont care so they can target all audiances.

Maybe if this get big enought we can get theyr attention and make them think.

Trying doesnt hurt :steamhappy:
If there was ever a game in the history of video games that deserved a sequel it was this one. This is without question one of the best games I've ever played, and I've been gaming for 35 years.

Indeed, this game deserves a sequel.
The reviewes on steam are very good.
Dont know why they never did.
Maybe the sales were not that great.

Maybe someday

From what I read, it stemmed from the comic, which the game is based off of, that had a load of issues with publishing. Then there was like a 20 year hiatus or something before the comic came back.

And add in that the devs were jumping from game to game for awhile (they seem to be stuck on Wayfinder now, for some reason). If I recall, it took them quite a while to add NG+ to BattleChasers, or maybe it was Hard Mode? I can't remember. But they took awhile to come back to the game. Even with Ruined King it took them awhile just to come back and add Steam trading cards.

And even with Riot backing them, and Ruined King coming out back to back with Arcane, I think they expected bigger sales. I'm guessing that's why Riot didn't continue working with them either.

Absolutely. There is always that chance.

I want to know how the story ends, they left us on a cliffhanger. And I bought Ruined King, but can't really get into it.

Ruined King is nice, but not the same thing, what we really need is Battlechasers 2

Agreed on both counts. Battle Chasers was one of the best games I've played in the last five years and I've played many of them. I played it through twice and took the time to get all of the achievements, some of which are not easy (but this was one game I really wanted to complete 100%). I will certainly be interested in a sequel if they ever decide to make one.
