Alumon, Knolan, and Monika are much slower at wiping out mobs.
If you build your perks up correctly, Gully stops pretty much all damage from ever touching your HP, while Garrison 1-shot-kills everything including the final boss.
Mostly because of burst like heal even more on crits....and the second special skill recovers mana....and chilling enemies(buffed version and 3 times) mainly bosses hahahah i have over 12 turns before a boss act once hahahahahhaha
Gully shields the entire party, while Garrison can one-shot everything including the final boss if he hits a critical.
Well on my boss fights after chilling the 3 times the bosses act only 1 or 2 times while each character i have can act each 2 or 3 times
You're talking about spending 3 turns chilling the bosses, allowing them to attack twice, and having each of your characters go 2 to 3 turns... When I'm talking about a character one-shotting the boss on his very first turn of the fight.
Characters like Knolan and Monika just slow the entire battle down because they focus on status effects and damage over time; while Garrison focuses on just wiping everything out in a single hit with high critical percentages.
Well i am doing Critical Garrison and i am doing relentless assault + berserk and yes you can kill but normally i need 3 turns
Typicial "my build is the best" answer... did you actually try with other group?
In this game you can basically make any group feel like OP, as long as you put enough effort to it.
I've seen some videos where Monika too can one shot anyone... some other where Even Knolan can be used as main healer...
especially if you farm much...
because I hardly doubt you can "one shot anyone" with Garisson on a regular dungeon displaying a "medium/hard" difficulty... same for Gully "preventing every damage".
Of course if you do a lvl 20 dungeon at level 30, it may seem OP
Also my statements have practically been universally agreed on in these forums with almost everyone repeating this statement in threads over the last 2 years besides like two people who continually push that Monika can out damage Garrison despite the numbers simply proving this isn't the case. Just look it up, all of the posts are here on the board.
The problem with Monika and Knolan is that they can't generate and maintain OC nearly as efficient. The Synergy the first three party members have with their abilities simply can't be matched. They just work so well together. Of course you can be OP with other party setups as well, but overall it's slower, more work, and more turns.
If you doubt Gully can prevent all damage, then you've not played the game with a good setup of perks and abilities used. By mid-way into the game you'll be starting battles with fair good Damage Shields and can easily build them up higher before the enemies get a chance to go to the point that at times I had more Shield than actual HP to the point that I could keep building shield at a higher rate than enemies could damage. On my first run I remember having Gully with 30K HP and an estimated 35K Shield at one point. You tell me what enemy can hit for that kind of damage.
I do believe the developers nuked some stats since that run though in 2018. As there is some posts mentioning that and subsequent runs I swear that my stats didn't end up nearly as massive. But that doesn't change my experience of the first run I did through the game.
As for the difficulty. I always opt play on the hardest option available to me. I'm not talking about level 20 dungeons at level 30. I'm literally talking the final boss on the hardest difficulty option. In the very first playthrough I did, Garrison hit the boss that had 35K HP.... for nearly 60K damage on his first attack.
Doubt all you want, but there is no need for the hostility. Go read through the last dozen pages of threads from other users who talk about the same experiences with the game.
