If you use a Greater Tome of Knowledge before you have found all the heroes do you lose the perk points?

If you find and use a Greater Tome of Knowledge (the book that grants all your heroes one perk point) before you have found all the heroes (mage, rogue and the 2nd healer) does this mean you 'lose' the additional perk point on the heroes you haven't found yet?

I never bothered to count, gaining Tomes is not hard, you can do a combo of speedrunning the last dungeon for Artifacts and Fishing to earn Shadow Coins for them. Just a question of how much time you wanna invest in it.
