Is it possible to beat C'Drall?
I looked on this discussion board because I've tried to beat C'drall ~15 times and the closest I've come is ~10,000, before she does the shield/blood fortress. I rarely even get close. And my party of Garrison, Bretto and Monika are all level 30, I have the legendary weapon for Garrison, and I go between putting his skills for Bleeds or overcharge/AP. And....nothing. His level 3 burst does 7000-1000 when I can get it up there, but C'Drall has 37000 hit points, not to mention the shield that comes on near the end that tacks on another ~10,000 hit points.

I just have no idea how to go about beating her. The only one that does significant damage at a time is Garrison, but that's only when he's got a lot of overcharge OR has his Lvl. 3 Burst, and that only happens a couple times in the entire fight.

Monika taunts/evades, and Bretto heals and gets rid of debuffs when possible. To the people saying they beat C'Drall in a few turns or that Garrison two-shots her....I don't see how that is possible, since you can't be higher level or have a better weapon than I've got, and I've tried the various combinations of perks. And again, 7000-10,000 max with Lvl. 3 burst, and once I got a crit with ~60 overcharge with Warblade that took off ~13,000 or so. But, it takes 3-5 turns to get up to 60 overcharge, so that still means a minimum of ~15-20 rounds of fighting against C'Drall.

What am I possibly missing here?

My reaction on this question after effortlessly beating C'Drall on NG+ https://imgur.com/a/W2ewktr :spazdunno:

Right items / enchantings / distribution of points and it's become sooo easy.

But then how did you missed that overkill Garrison's combination of Crit chance increasing burst and Berserker????

Well, I'm still not totally sure where you messed up, but I have a feeling that you maybe missed some basic game mechanics... Try to read some guides man.

And btw, why did you go for C'Drall without getting all the legendary weapons?

If you setup perks with Garrison correctly, you should easily take out C'Drall with a critical hit.

You wanna make sure all of his equipment is geared toward boosting Crit % most, and Attack power second. Then his perks you wanna get towards boosting Crit% and the damage output of a Crit Hit.

By the time I hit level 22, nothing in the game was a threat with the original 3 party members. Monika, Knolan, and Alumon just don't even come close in comparison.

Also if you setup perks right, Gully would have so much Shield Damage protection on herself and the party that their HP will practically be untouchable. Unfortunately you're not using Gully, who is the only real tank in the game. Outside of like 10,000+ Damage Shield, she also easily has 25,000+ HP by end game.

How many Perk points do you even have? I had around 160 on Garrison on my first playthrough. With about 120-140 on Bretto and Gully. Mainly thanks to fishing and trading coins for the Perk Point Books.

What is your Garrisons attack power and critical %?

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but it comes up in searches. Figured I'd give an update (June of 2021). I just beat the game (normal game) with Gully, Calibretto and Garrison. It was a hard battle but ultimately I beat it in 4 tries. The only reason I beat C'drall was Garrison hands down. He just does the most damage hands down and you can stack a lot of effects and pull off super moves basically. But the timing has to be right and there is some luck involved (you will stack % values to increase odds of your luck).

I got to level 30 on all three characters just by playing the normal game. A few times I redid some dungeons on Legendary just for XP and drops. I did do the full Arena to get a specific shard/gem needed for crafting and that took me up by 2~3 levels doing that alone and got me to 30 so the end of the entire game I was walking into two dungeons maxed out level with as many perks as I could get (plus any tombs along the way).

I did craft Garrison's unique legendary weapon (cursed blade) and I enchanted it with Might II or something. The rest of my gear was not special and can be shopped for. Garrison's armor was the Paladin armor (drop reward from playing the game, always drops) and his charm was from the Arena for beating it on elite (so you get the gem needed for crafting his best weapon and the best trinket for him at the same time). Calibretto is using Mana Tide armor (some random low level drop but it gives him huge mana) and Overcharged Canon (from the shadow coin shop, you can buy this early on) which gives overcharge every turn. Gully has nothing special, just random gear I made from crafting in Harm's Way and enchanted it with +defense and +stamina. That's it. No endless grinding to get special gear. The key was just getting high AP on Garrison with his gear and Calibretto was just a mana/overcharge battery for buff/debuff/heal and that's all he does and Gully just has to taunt/guard/defend and survive and that's it so her gear is just +def +stamina and that's all you go for.

I got the best food and revival potions I could get from Harm's Way shops. Pre-eat the food before your final battle.

All my perks are simple for Gully & Calibretto: Gully is all in Guardian, pick stuff to increase her defenses, stamina, etc. Focus on just surviving with taunt/guard/defend. I used nothing else with her, ever (the guard perk is handy in this fight as there are lots of AOE's that get past Taunt). Calibretto is mostly on his heal perks side and only the Sunder perk on the war side (for increasing sunder to 20%), his job is just to buff/debuff/heal and nothing else (other than use a potion as needed if you get super-crit, etc). Any left overs go into haste perks and stamina perks.

Garrison's perks are all about increasing critical and building bleed. So my perks are all on his increase AP options, increase crit when bleeding (berserk option), and any of his increase haste and increase crit options. Any left overs go into stamina perks.

Build up burst before the final fight. Go to random trash mobs in the overworld map and just bulid overcharge, this will build your burst. I went to full 3 burst filled and then went to start my final fight with C'drall.

Eat your best food before the fight (Hero's feast).

Gully: Rotate Taunt, Guard and Defend. I used Taunt and Guard a lot (Guard with the perk does more % damage reduction for your whole party which is important because lots of C'drall's attacks are AOE and will kill Garrison fast). If you find yourself able to rotate other things into this between attacks (due to high haste, etc) you can use her Shatter attack to apply an additional Sunder to C'drall. All sunder stacks, so the more the better. But keeping alive is primarily the goal, so Taunt + Guard is what you can use to do that mostly. You can also rotate a shield into there as well, but don't prioritize it.

Calibretto: Rotate cleanse, cut punch (for sunder with perk for 20% sunder) and heals. Don't do his slow abilities, or they may never happen. Go for instants and fast/very fast actions for heals, so perk up your best fast heals (like healing touch). Keep a few potions of revive on hand for him to use in case Garrison falls. Keep C'drall Sundered. Heal Garrison constantly. Heal Gully as needed (she should have a much higher hit point pool and survive longer anyways without heals). I didn't have to heal Gully at all. I did have to heal Garrison though. After your opening Sunder, do his spell that causes 22% higher crit on all allies as his 2nd action. This is all about Garrison building.

Garrison: Your goal is bleeds and berzerk with perks for increasing crit. So start with an ability to start a bleed (like Sting or Burst 1). His next action is to use Burst 2 (all crits go up by 60% for everyone) and then you can go again with Garrison, your next choice is Berzerk. Garrison's base crit will be somewhere between 15%~20% depending on gear, which is fine. His perk will raise Berzerk crits by 15% if target is bleeding (hence you need to keep him bleeding). Calibretto raises crits by 22%. Burst 2 on Garrison raises it by 60%. You get the idea, end result is like 22% + 60%+ 15% without even considering gear yet, which is like 97% chance to crit on C'drall as long as he's bleeding. Berzerk gets more hits the more you crit and each will crit, so you will essentially one-shot the boss unless you get super unlucky on rolls. Remember you have C'drall with 20% sunder onboard (and possibly another 20% from Gully if you do Shatter). I killed C'drall this way. It took 4 tries. The reason it took 4 tries is because random crits from C'drall will kill Garrison or knock out Calibretto which messes up the order of operation to build up to Garrison's final attack run. If you do not kill C'drall in this one attack with all crits, finish him off with instant attacks with bleed and sunder effects. Bleeds work great and get through shields and will end it. Garrison burst 1 is another good instant attack that can crit (again) and bleed (again) if you have to use it to finish off with a second attack.

You can also try 3 DPS instead of 1 if you lack of damage ^^'. This is how i beat the game first and in all my NG+. Monika, Garrison and Knolan.

In case you need a tank, monika is untouchable (literraly). You need a healer knolan can heal at 100% all your group. You need a garrison, garrison is here.

Knolan 1st to play (full speed) : Time Warp 3 turns in a row. Arcane Power + Arcane Storm + Arcane Explosion. You apply +15% to all stats to your group then you deal all arcane debuff + bursting damage.
Monika Love Bombe + Execute all debuff possible on the target + burst
Garrison Blademaster + Berserk or Blademaster + warblade if you are prepared or RA + Berserk (if you don't have enough crit but honestly ... impossible) Burst + Burst.

The last time i beat the game for all success C'drall died at Monika's turn.
I did it with all last weapons ofc but the first time I beat the game I didn't have them and C'drall lasts 2 turns instead of 1. (knolan buff, garrison berserk, monika execute and that's over.)

The only condition for that to work is, Knolan must be the one who starts. Full haste.
Monica should be second or third doesn't matter, full crit / power. (better if she's second tho) Garrison full crit and power too.
