[Solved] Another game which claims to have "full controller support" an doesn't support the PS4 Controller, great...
Title says it all, i am angry and disapointed af. It's not that hard to implement... Witcher 3 has it and many other indie games too. They even have PS4 Button promts.

Note that

1) Full controller support only means that the game can be played fully with a controller, not that it supports all controllers
2) The PS4 is not supported by most games. The reason being->
3) Sony has refused to provide Xinput drivers which is what Microsoft has deemed to be the 'standard' for controller input on Windows
4) You can try to convince Sony to make Xinput drivers
5) You can try to convince Microsoft that Xinput sucks compared to DirectInput

I tought people knew this already in 2017 and bought a cheap xbox controller to play on pc. I remember this problem 4 years ago for me and i just bought an xbox controller and never had a problem ever since.

It does have full controller support and I'm using the PS4 controller just fine on the gog version which is the same PC game as you got.

Note that: Sony released official PS4 controller drivers for windows this year, as a developer myself i can say that its not that hard to implement. Xinput is just one way of many, as i stated earlier many games on steam support the PS4 controller by now. Some old games even patched it in. Yeah it is 2017 that why im wondering why it is still so hard for developers to implement. For Honor has it, Witcher 3, Aragami, Steam world dig2, Destiny 2, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, Hellblade and many many more support the controller. It is just a matter of a developing team to want to support the controller.

...this is embarrassing... i unplugged and replugged the controller and now the controller works... it even shows Playstation button promts... i am sorry for making a fuzz for nothing...

Game on! May the Input method each of us preferes favor us.

Yeah, all this really is that you can launch and play the whole game entirely without a keyboard and mouse. It doesn't seem very common at all any more, but it used to be some games you launched and had to navigate the menus with keyboard/mouse, but then could play the actual game with a controller.
