he said it is about 20h. so it is 20h or more of turn based combat and probably some grinding so hell yes it will be repetetive as every game of this sor. I wouldn't expect anything else.

What worries me is that allies who arent in the party don't lvl up? Meaning, it is worse than FFX swapping. Why would anyone let something like this happen is a mystery to me.

to add replay value... if u wanna try other team comp, then do it on NG+ or on another playthrough.

so what you are saying is that I should pick 3 heroes i like and stick with them til lthe end and if i want to change I should w8 till ng+ or start anew? (because others will be too low lvl/useless without grinding)

THAT IS SOME GOOD DESIGN

There is currently a catch up mechanic in place so lower level heroes will catch up relatively quickly if they are far behind. They also still get xp if they die in a fight so you dont have to worry about ressing them before the final hit etc. Hope that helps alleviate some of your concerns!

Well, the game does not have a smooth difficulty curve, but more of a step-like curve. I don`t know but to me the game is very grindy, and not in a good way. Suddenly all the enemies do 5 times more damage and you have to halt the progress and go back and grind.
Also the fact that you have to grind for characters that are not in active use? Boy oh boy, prepare to spend a long time doing the same thing over and over.

Hey all - we're actually looking at the XP/difficulty curve RIGHT NOW and might patch in a smoother curve in the next day or so.

Could you also maybe do something like benched heroes get half xp so they stay a little more caught ? Or maybe an co bank that you can spend on under leveled heroes?

Just a couple of ideas I think could work I've seen in other games.

He thinks this game is repetitive? I think he needs to play Diablo 3... Isn't that game a little repetitive?
Ronin Gamer Oct 3, 2017 @ 8:56am
Every game is repetitive. The thing is if you find the actions you are repeating enjoyable or tiring and boring. Traditional RPG like this, not a chance to me.

jrpgs too repetitive ?

Worrying that the dev response is possibly switching the XP curve mere hours before release. To me that shows a lack of quality testing and might mean there are other issues waiting for players to discover.
