Wait how are you getting 60% mana? I thought it only gave 20%?
Also all his heals that give shields are really slow.
Alumon makes a terrible tank in my opinion.. But an amazing healer, and can even do very good damage. Devastation does very high damage, and Mass Haste is extremely good. His first Burst, Blood Frenzy.. Is also insane.. 30% damage for a whole fight opop
He also has good buffs (haste), renewable mana, decent damage, and the ability to taunt/tank.
Yeah, I'd call him pretty good.
Besides, you shouldn't be using Knolan for healing. You should be using knolan to REALLY mess up your opponents or slowing them down to a crawl (and then messing them up).
Also, if you find his healing to be lacking, check your gear and make sure you have decent attack scores as healing is actually based on your attack/damage rating.
A couple of crits on his lvl 2 burst gets the whole team back to full life. Got the guaranteed crit with huge damage attack if ignited that then becomes a heal...
he's just awesome as a secondary support/damage dealer.
Oh and yeah, perk heals can crit too, soooo..... yeah, just crits all day everyday
He's not a tank imo, and he probably can be solo healer but not the best choice for him i would say. The fact that his heals gives shields when overhealing is nice, but i'd rather deal damage AND heal
I did not know healiong was based on attack. Also I think problem I am having is that I am level 19 and haven't unlocked all his perks and skills. It seems he starts scaling really well late game.
If you want an easier time, I would suggest putting Knolan in there, he rounds out the party nicely and I find is one of the most under rated characters in the game.
Knolan recharges your mana as a passive every turn in the late game. Every turn your entire party gets back 7 mana, which is huge. It's amazing when paried with Garrison because you won't have to worry about Garrison ever running out of mana. We all know the less mana Garrison has the more overcharge he can build which just means more damage output for him.
I dunno everyone praises Monika and Alumon, I just don't see it... Calibretto is damn near worthless past the first few hours of game play.
As long as you have Gully putting up shields every turn, Garrison doing damage and Knolan debuffing while keeping the group healthy, you basically auto-win the game with only a handful of attacks from each character.
Thats 8,000,000 -.- neither with cheats you could do this high heals.
I beat the game with Gully, Allumon, and Calibreta or w/e. There are a couple characters with heals in this game, but i found the robot to be the best healer. His heals cost less mana and can heal more than others while he can also be as tanky as Gully at the same time. I finished the game with Gully and the robot over 20k health while alumon was still below 10k health. Having the robot and alumon on team made it so you rarely needed to heal unless the fights were tough. Alumon is very strong as a damage dealer off of crit, especially later on with curse of bargus where he can hit 1 guy with one of his non mana skills, and hit adjacent enemies with curse. Gully is the best tank in the game, and is the only character who can tank well. Alumon only has 1 skill with a built in taunt, while Gully can tank, deal damage to people attacking her, and build up guard / shields for the team, even revive her self within 3 turns of an expected death.
Some people seem to think Knolan is amazing because he gives mana to team. i find it mediocre. Calabrieto or w/e can give over 25 overcharge to the team every turn for 3 turns. Thats not counting the fact that some heroes can carry over charge from 1 fight to the next or that some characters can gain overcharge very easily (Gully can enter fight with 5 overcharge per enemy, can get 5 or 10 when using taunt, and can get 30 with % chance when attacking an enemy. Garrison has conserve energy. Callibretto can carry 30 overcharge into another fight, can gain 10 overcharge every time he is attacked with defense matrix, 5 without it, and all of his useful skills generate more overcharge once you get enough perk points. His end game skills become quite powerful as well, especially wild fire for stacking a bunch of sunder stacks on an enemy.
Considering Knolan gains a large boost to attack power based on how much mana they have it is best to never lose mana. So really if you want to use them you should use Calabretto for the over charge per turn + Knolans overcharge per turn to maximize their damage. Using Knolan specifically because you want mana is a poor choice.
Mediocrity... Hmm lets see:
1- best buff in the game which lasts the entire fight and entire arena runs and costs one burst level "30-35%" can't remember the exact number
2- his heals always heal for a ridiculous amount which maxes hp and maxes shields on all the team "without trying the single heal heals for over 100k with perks"
As a tank and healer he has a huge attack which helps bursting down bosses and elite mobs "talking about Devastation"
3: can regen mana by sacrificing a bit of hp "his hp gets over 12k end game" and regent about 80 mana in one instant action
Yes, I agree... Definitely mediocre
And you have no clue if you think calli is bad. He can apply a 90% sunder alone in two turns
