Gully Monika and Knolan, what you think?
I already switched to Knolan instead of Calibretto, a bit because of curiosity, and not sure I regret it. I won't give up on Gully, she is my tank and I want give a chance to Monika instead of Garrison, the question is if it's efficient and for what build.

For now Kolan is Arcane build, Gully is guardian build, so Monika with them is a good synergy? And what builds for Monika and such party?

drop gully, she is a wasted slot. you dont need a tank.
kolan, cali, alumon kill bosses in 1-2 turns.
all spected full dmg
cali kills trash easy with his 1st round crit machinegun.
kolan can single target and slow with his ice spells, aoe, heal, ressurect and his 3rd burst is straight op.
alumon is a good allround supporter with amazing single target dmg, if his obliberate crits it kills most bosses in 1 or 2 hits.

Alumon isn't available yet, I met him but he didn't join yet. Cali is the robot? I regret a bit have replaced him with Knolan.

For the one shot kill, well, I would prefer a game playable and with fun combats. :-) But thanks for the suggestion.

I ran the default party. Garrison kills things, Bretto supports, Gully tanks bosses.

Unsure what Misfit is talking about. Bretto's damage is terrible for most of the game.

Looks like the game design went crazy with some math formula escaping the design. So right now there's many players in NG+ seeing damages one shot kill or almost.

But that's just something to fix I hope combats of this game don't end in such weirdness.

Bretto has insane damage once he get +crit on first attack perk and a weapon, it allows his Wildfire to instantly clear the fight of fodders and with legendary weapon, even minibosses as well. His 3rd burst is also insane for destroying NG and will kill a whole group with mini-boss or just straight up 100-0 bosses.

With Bretto in the team, you just press Wildfire and the fight is almost as good as over.

And the issue is that DEfense is either trash or broken in this game. It seems to work in competition with Attack but it's so horribly balanced a +600 defense from food can make enemies deal no damage but a +3000 attack from you can completely nullify enemy defense (or make it reduce your damgae by 15% at best)

Yeah, but that's endgame stuff. Almost every character is broken at the end of the game. By the time your reach 27/28 there's nothing that can touch you anymore :P

You can do it early game too. The slowest is Deadwatch where you can just get the level 19 weapon from the collector store because you don't bother crafting and proceed to wipe Strongmont on LEgendary.

I wish more players had a better perspective, and that end game numbers are just end game, if not NG+ in this case.

For my topic I don't expect any help anymore, I just try and will see, for sure it's more tricky for me to use that team but for now in context of my current play with under level party, that's ok.

Ah! Sounds good.

You really just need to upgrade gears and the game loses all its difficulty since this game has 0 strats, just pure damage race suffered by the fact most bosses are just recolored enemies. It's a jRPG wanna be where the skills and formular aren't creative enough to make it challenging.

IF you ever run into a problem, just go buy a defense boost food from the tavern and watch how much damage it drops from your enemies thanks to its damage formula issue.
