No it is very specifically Guts.
Take a look at the third screenshot on the store page.
;)
Legend has it that's the reason for his name : Garrison/Gara's son.
No, as stated above it's actually Gara from B@st@rd which is why he's named Garrison or "Gara's Son"
This was stated in Wizard magazine back before the first issue of the comic was released.
Knolan is loosely based off every wise old master of various fictions like Master Roshi. Monika is loosely based off Mai from King of Fighters.
Many World of Warcraft artists were influenced by Joe Mad's art style and Battle Chasers actually reads like a proto WoW comic of sorts however oddly enough any game that comes out that uses Joe Mad's art style people say "This looks like World of Warcraft!"
People only say that Garrison is based off Guts due to a limited frame of reference.
Well let's see, does he look more like Gara or Guts

Or is the design just a fairly common/standard look among hero characters? Or do you just have a limited frame of reference(s)?
Why state something like this as if it's a fact if it can so easily be disproven?
Or other way around depending on who was first. The characters are almost identical.
That's the 90's for ya.
That's just science!
The evidence still points to Gara though. When the character's name is "Gara's Son" and looks like Gara it's kind of hard to suggest/believfe that he was inspired by another character. Also there's of course the statement from Joe Mad that it was infact Gara that inspired Garrison.
