Exclamation marks in dungeons

The guide says there's still something there, but I've spent hours in the first two dungeons, trying to find out what it is what I'm supposed to do.

For example, in the 2nd one (the werewolf dungeon) there are a lot of torches that need to be lit. Even when I do that and there is nothing else in the room, the exclamation mark is still there

Any ideas?

Some torches have made a chest appear for me.

Concerning the marks, I think they are to show that there is a lore item in the room but who knows.

chests will be marked with chests, fishing anglers mean fishing spots etc.

Exclamation marks indeed mean theres is a lore item there.
However it CAN mean you've already picked it up but it will still be displayed on the map.

I agree its confusing though sometimes helpfull, as i've come across rooms that kept on displaying a chest icon even when i was sure i fully explored that room, turned out there was a wall i could break with Gully's smash thingy.

Nope: lore items are marked with a scroll. Said scroll disappears when picked up

Exclamation marks are events. LIke the one event in the first dungeon where you could pick a item from the poisoned fountain. For further explanation open the ingame game manual.

And with the Lycalots, there is a place in those dungeons where you should turn the torches OFF. Where? Well it changes if you redo the dungeon and that is a secret anyway. :-)

But they are events, like CAptured prisoner in the Lycerot fort. Some of them are just so hard to find though so I ignore them but when running through the fort to get some easy Perk books treasure map, I always go for the room with !. It also includes dungeon map and the drone.

Guess what, genius? You did the event already. Move on.

But I'm guessing he did except that they do mean events and he's just keeping low and quiet about being WRONG and an A$$.

They could be events or not, the problem is so many are still shown on map. Sorry but the game is rather confusing about that and it feels much more there are some bugs related to the maps.

Guys, any information about that? I'm still confused about this "!". I read game manual, I spend tons of time searching around and still don't understand about what events they talking about. It's nothing there.

Maybe devs can bring some light on this?

"!" are events like riddling goldfish, spiked path timing runs, puzzles and stuff. Fishing rods are clear. Pedestals are clear. These 3 icons stay on your map, no matter if you solved them/fished them dry/used the buff. Chests are clear, Scrolls signify a lore item, red skulls signify enemies. These 3 icons disappear from your map.

Can we now get on with playing the game?
