Crafting
So is there an introduction or a tutorial that has to deal with crafting? You can get a blacksmith book right away and you are constantly getting crafting materials but I still haven't heard or seen anything that tells me how to craft with the crafting tab?

In the in-game manual it only talks about crafting tables in dungeons. I have a couple potion recipes, but they don't show up in the crafting tables. I'm assuming that they'll have to be crafted somewhere else.

There are crafting tables in dungeons. I'm not sure what happens when you upgrade the smith, but maybe it allows you to craft there? Or perhaps it happens throughout the story. I know the potion guy lets you start crafting only a couple of hours in, but not when you first meet him.

Crafting tables are available in dungeons, haven't seen them elsewhere.

Upgrading the smithie gives you better stuff to buy. To quote: Upgrade my forge and I'll sell ya the finest weapons and armor in the land.

Hitting the second smith upgrade (5k) will unlock a smithing table in the village, an apothecary table opens up a little way into the story. No sign of an enchanting table barring one I found in a dungeon, but I assume one will be introduced at some point.

I think that was basically my main point of this forum, there needs to be more about crafting either a tutorial or some idea of when it can be done and how..

by the time i gathered enough materials to make a weapon in the dungeon not only i outleveled it i had better drops and better stuff on sale for less than crafting mat costs in the blacksmith. Im wondering if the crafting costs could be scaled down a bit.

You eventually unlock all crafting in town (including the enchanter) with quests/gold. There's also side dungeons that have special enchanting stations. You will need recipes in order to make things at stations, so keep an eye out for them at vendors and make sure to use them.

One thing that's cool is you can go over 100% to craft rare/epic items. Just add more ingredients.

I don't think it needs much explanation. I figured it out completely when I found one in a dungeon without much issue. Same with the enchanting, it's pretty strait forward. Early on, crafting is almost a waste of time, I am well beyond any recipes I have for gear. And I make occassional stops at all the shops looking for new books. One thing that was crazy was the artifact dealer. I bought a weapon for 'Bretto that ended up being level 19 to use, where my party is at level 10. It was good being able to run dungeons again and get more artifacts to sell.

Just a warning, the beta goes up to lvl 15, so you might wanna buy other stuff with the artifacts. At least at first.

I didn't realize it cut off so early. Well, if it's any consulation, there is nothing sold by the artifact dealer that can be used at level 15 or lower I think. All well. Guess I'm further along than I thought in the game. IT'S ENDING TOO EARLY!

There's plenty you can get. He has costumes, a sword Garrison can use at lvl 10, a gun Monika can use too(if I remember correctly), plenty of chests that give you gear, other stuff. Like a top hat I don't know why I bought. Well I do know, because it said something like "by the time you realize you need it it's too late" or something like that. Still don't know what it's for xD

It took me 12 hours to do the main missions and a couple sidequests but the last dungeon was pretty rough so a normal playthrough should be about 15 hours, what they said the beta would include, about 40% of the game.(not taking into account replayability of the dungeons for better loot, to farm artifacts, etc, then it's well over 15 hours)

You can over craft items by putting more material in them to make them blue or purple, so you may have outleveled the basic green one, but the purple one usually last for a good amount of time

Yeah, Crafting feels pretty lacking. I'm probably level 13 before I would have enough crafting materials for decent level 9 stuff, but I have tons of the low level crafting materials which are already useless.

I dont bother with crafting except adding enchants.
