Yes , it's a prob on those formats, I've read posts about this and devs dont or wont fix this. It's on both 15 and 16 so beware

the thing is if i play the same movie in KODI or WIndows 10 Movies & TV there is no stutter at all.

Yes and was driving me nuts too. Devs dont help. Never had this issue with Powerdvd 14 before I upgraded. Last time I upgrade. I changed the codec in settings to the Nvidia one and are playing files at the moment to check if it's helping. Might be a codec issue. Not sure if it's possible to use external codecs.

Have installed this LAV codec as I recently needed it for a VR experience (We are Stars). Not sure if this or the in-built nvidia codec is helping. Something is helping but need to play a few more .mkv files to be sure.

Thank you, what I have been doing is to convert all my MKV's to MP4's with Handbrake
and changed settings in Handbrake to 30fps constand frame rate. 99.9% stutter free now
and yes I use the True Theater Enhancments. I really like this software and it is my
player of choice because I like the Enhancments. If I use Kodi there is no stutter
with MKV's but the picture is not as nice as with PowerDVD 16 Ultra.
Some people disable the Enhancments and don't have stutter but I bought this software
because it really improves the picture with True Theatre Enhancments.
