Spaceorb 360 Support?
The big question is... I mean its how lots of us played the old versions. I would love to dust off my spaceorb and get it working in this game. Ahhh the old days. I know we need crazy serial converters and special drivers and what not but did you guys even consider it? Just curious.

That would be awesome but I think it's just not realistic for them to put in the effort. Although if it's possible like I said it would be awesome.

Would be great, it was the only gamepad I ever liked, but it's quite unrealistic putting effort into support for something that cannot be bought for more than a decade now.
So even if people would like to use it, they couldn't get the needed hardware.
And the stuff logitech offers as an "alternative" (if you can call it that) is plain... ya know, bown n sticky...

getting an orb can be a problem yes. But if you have one already... I got mine working! The original maker of the orbotron 9000 has started making new ones and I can confirm it works with win8.1 and Overload. Very exciting indeed. :))

I have a 3dconnexion SpaceNavigator, and it kind of works already, in Linux, even. I mean, it just shows up as a bunch of joystick axes. The only problem is that I can't remap the axes yet. Once that works, it will be perfect, and I'll be throwing money at them.

Okay, I managed to get the SpaceNavigator working fully. In the controls configuration, I had to push the navigator in each direction as far as it would go before the game recognized which axis I wanted mapped where. Also, I adjusted the joystick sensitivity to high, and dead zone to zero, and now I just have to get used to how subtle I need to move it in order to fly around.

Quite enjoyable! I'll be buying this game as soon as it is out of early access.

I tried that myself, which driver are you using? Currently I am using relabsd but it's not working. It works fine for NeonSXZ. Ubuntu MATE 17.10
