Copy : bod_lang_fr_demo & lang_fr
Paste in : Steam\steamapps\common\Return 2 Games
Select the language in game options.

Hello, please i've a question about variants, from 1186 to 1314 in bod_demo_cards.utf8

After ###### Param names (names of magical variants)

In english, variants appear before name but in french they should appear after name. Will it be possible for you to change this ? It seems it's not possible to change this directly in this file.

For example here it should be
CHOC DU GUERISSEUR

CARD : CHOC
VARIANT : DU GUERISSEUR
but game writes automatically DU GUERISSEUR CHOC

"GUERISSEUR REMEDE" doesn't make sense while "REMEDE DU GUERISSEUR" would be correct.
"DU TEMPS CHOC" doesn't make sense while "CHOC DU TEMPS" would be correct.

Please it would have to be reversed in french in your files.

This is a bit problematic. If we enable such feature it would block enabling magical cards with two variants (not that we are planning anything like that but we like to keep our options open).

We don't speak French but is it posible to make an adjective prefix from such postifx? Example: Axe of Grandness -> Grand Axe
If that would be possible it would solve the issue.

Another question please, when the legendary variant is feminin but the normal spell variant is masculin, can i add a line for the legendary one ?

Example
crd_leg_57_desc = legendary spell (feminin variant)
Can i add
crd_leg_57_name_gg = f

Gender modifier is used for picking a proper variant name, legendaries don't have variant pre and postfixes so that field is not used!

Just an idea, tough I don't know how many things it'll break in your code.
Maybe you could add an entry in the file for specifying some formats.

Example in English:
format_prefix_card = "\1 \2" ## \1 is Prefix, \2 is card name

that way in the French file we could take this format string and swap the order there. Like :
format_prefix_card = "\2 \1" ## \1 est le préfixe anglais, \2 est le nom de la carte

I'm not in the affixes / prefixes translation yet, so I expect more troubles to come, but for me exporting some string format directly in the file still looks a step in the right direction.

Yes, we handled that in the most flexible way - if you want something to switch position then you create and empty string ending with "_swap". That way special cases can be handled in any language. This change will go live with the next update.

When the name is plural you can use x or y from your first proposal should work straight out the box. We didn't test it too extensively but it should be fine.

They do not exist in the file but the system I wrote will detect them and use them. At least it should, I prepared for languages with multiple genders. You can start the game and try it :-)

Hi guys =D I'm an ausecours's friend. I've checked the game as he asked me. It's amazing the job he made. Until now , everything i saw have no problems, the translation have not even a mistake ( but i wanna find some =D ).

The translation of ausecours is impressive. I only translated the 1st half of launcher.utf8 on my side, but on this part I don't think I have a line better to propose. I'll install his package to test in-game.

@ausecours : There are small errors about the swaping of prefixs. I was afraid some errors would appear :P

Thanks typos are fixed and i uploaded the new file.
BUT PLEASE ABOUT SUFFIXES read what i've written in first post :
it's already fixed in the file but need next game update.
It depends on the devs now.

(i already wrote the swap lines in the french translation but devs will update the swap system in next update )

Merci, les typos sont corrigées et j'ai uploadé le nouveau fichier. Mais au sujet des noms & adjectifs à permuter, s'il vous plaît lisez le premier post : c'est déjà corrigé dans le fichier mais nécessite la prochaine mise à jour du jeu. Tout dépend des devs maintenant.

(j'ai déjà écrit les lignes pour permuter dans le fichier de traduction française mais il faut que les devs mettent à jour leurs fichiers à eux dans la prochaine màj du jeu)

Glad to hear that the translation is solid - the switched suffixes and prefixes should be fine after the next update. We didn't know that in French some adjectives won't work as prefixes or suffixes so we had to add swapping functionality :-)
