Rogue is on the test branch (true story!)

Hello everyone! The wait is over (kind of)! The Rogue is now available on the test branch. This means that those willing to risk more than usual density of bugs can switch and try Rogue for themselves.

You will find detailed instructions on how to access the test branch in this thread. (link will work only for game owners since there is no test branch for the demo).

How long will she stay on the test branch? For a while for sure. Rogue comes with a lot of new mechanics and under the hood changes so we want to be very sure that the game is as stable as possible before we officially release her. And while we will be gathering debug data we will be also balancing her. Once she is ready for official launch we will have to pick the best moment to unveil her - I explained why we have to pick that date carefully in this thread.


What makes her different from Warrior and Mage? Well, first of all, her arrows have unlimited range and are not guided to targets. Then there is the fact that she can't shot if there is an enemy in melee range. Yes, you read that right - Rogue requires efficient crowd control because if something gets too close Rogue switches from bow to the knife.

It would be awesome if some of you could hop to the testing branch, we need data and feedback on Rogue. If anyone has more questions ask away.

Yep. As soon as I finish my other achievements on warrior and mage I'll hop into test branch and drug myself hehe.

It didn't - why would you think that? I'm asking because if early access tag doesn't display for you in Steam that's a problem (we have been tinkering with the store page).

We started testing the 3rd class, the game will launch (as in leave early access) next year. There is still stuff to be added and polished.

I'm not First 8( but oh well will head over to the test branch in a couple of hours and test the mighty amazinging super cool incredibly dexteritous rogue....oh and you guys are doing great this game is brilliant...keep it up.. 2 Thumbs up since i only have 2 lol

Yes, the game is out of early access for the store, there's not showing that box of early access text!

We are in the process of contacting them. I hope it's reversible, we are having a team-wide heart attack event right now :D

Phew... turns out it was fully reversible and it was not a "real" launch, only the Early Access flag got cleared.

We just got 10 years older from the stress, please excuse me while I faint for a week.

And super big thanks for mentioning that, it would be a disaster if we continued like that oO

Hate to be the bringer of more bad news, but I get an immediate C2D as soon as I started the test branch. Could be just me though?

And, I mean, I did contractually abandon all hope before trying to load it up.

Edit: I suspect Avast was to blame. Now that it claims to have whitelisted it things seem to be going much better.

Double Edit: Nope, just enough to get about 5 minutes in.
