Is there a way to rename a character?

There is no easy way to do that and no way at all in the case of Daredevil characters. f you are very determined and the new name is the same length as the old one you could send me your save file and I could see what can be done :D

Maybe in the future add an option to allow renames? Daredevil no, because of the ladderboard, but I don't see a reason not to allow it for single-player.

Well, funny enough, I think Diablo 1 also didn't allow you to rename per se, the only way to rename in-game I can remember was by entering Battlenet and creating a new account with the desired character name, that would end up renaming you character to match the new account, but of course only worked for multiplayer saves.

Yup, but even though it's based on Diablo, the game does not need to be a shadow of it. If there's no harm, I don't see why not having the option.

Sure, of course I agree with you - the more options, the better. I was just pointing something dully related to it out of curiosity and nostalgia.

We didn't include that option not because of some grand scheme of things but rather because it would be rarely used and would clutter GUI. We can add it further down the road :-)

If you really need that name changed you can send me your save file and I can see what can be done :-)

How to find it:

press Win+R, enter path %appdata%\Return2Games_WIP21 and press enter
you will see a folder named after your steam ID
pack it with anything (zip, 7z, rar)
and please email it to [e-mail]

Link this thread in the email and let me know what name you want it changed to if you decide to send in the save file.

Heh, that's what rest of the team told me when I posted that offer :-) I will be assertive if more people ask to change their names. Eventually we might add name changing option.

Seems to me like the kind of thing you might want to consider adding to your survey. Not a lot of point spending resource to add a function that only a tiny proportion of the playerbase wants or will ever use.

I'd go with that only if it's something that's too demanding, which apparently it isn't.
