Theory On Beta's Creators

Okay, Having read a great deal of Sci-fi From many of teh classic authors to modern, I have this theory to offer reguarding the Beta's ...orgin/creators.


I willll Be from here on using (spoiler cover) so a sto not tick off anyone)


Okay the beta co-ordinator in the alpha hive claimed life forms = Silicon based. and that Carbon is too volitile to combine into intelligent life. Now that choice of words suck me as....odd and familiar. In a few of Arthor C clarke's works he has presented the concept that an advanced species would know of the finite nature of the universe and Seek to ensure -they- live as long in it as possible, Ie gathering all the valuabel rescources to themselves. and Wipign out other species that would not be -beneficial- to them and who would waste resources with pointless violence and such.

Now the Beta Creators being silicon based may have seen that most cases from where they have observed Carbon based life forms tend to be more....aggressive and advasarial, and as such they decided that Any life based of Carbon could never be what -they- consider intelligent given those violent instincts and tendancies So th ey used Carbon base creatures they discovered and engineered them to create the first beta co-ordinators and used them as we have seen as Living mining tools that Work without question convert the biological *carbon* based life on any planets they find into more units to speed the mining and harvesting of planets and the shipping of thier minerals tothei creators home/stockpiles.

Now that is not to say it is either likley or unlikely that the creators encounted more advanced Carbon based life. Infact its possible they encountered beings similiar to Humanity in level of development but saw thier predilections towards war and violence as nothing more than -advanced animals- and not sentient beings like themselves, and decided and programed thier constructs aka, the BEta to just disregaurd beings like Humanity as jsut more advanced animals or constructs liek themselves and to -recycle and use- them as it does with other life forms.

This opens up some interesting possibilities if you consider that likley if humanity -does- manage to wipe the beta off earth, Luna And mars and any ther planet/moon in our solar system, These creators must have some method to track or keep tabs on thier consctucts when sent out or some way to receive status/reports from the main hives on each world to determine how the mining is goign or if a planet/system has been exhausted, As it is made clear they -have- surveyed our solar system in advance of the beta's arrival. Which would mean taht they would -notice- the sudden stopage/destruction of thier mining assests in our system, and depending on thier protocols or such either send more landing pods, or come -themselves- to our system and try and determine what happened. As such, this means that humanity may end up beating the beta only to have thier makers arrive with technologies and weapons far in advance of what we've managed due to teh beta assault. And in the end it woudl come down ot if the creators woudl or could recognize humanity -as- intelligent carbon based life or merely dismiss them as thier constructs did.




I for one would love to see how that played out. both humanities battels driving beta off earth and the moon and mars, and the potential creator appearance.

will we see that...In VN or anime form Who can tell best guess maybe but i'd recommend not holding your breath.

That's how humanity works, so it's easy to see other intelligent species doing it.

@chomping Yeah but humanity just kills them off it doesn't do what these (first born) intelligent species do ....IE wipe out the entire solar system then suck up all the resources and move onto the next one

@pie. Yes Itinfact does answer a lot of that (and I am so NOT suprised humanity turned on itself AGAIN..... *facepalms* as a species we really need to grow the heck up. but the wiki entry ends with them preparing to -go- there.....no info on what happened when if th ey did

Also it says they are senind genetic dscendants of the...Heroic 8...How the *bleep* are they gonna do that. One was jsut a brain in ajar, one died way before they could sample his dna and then jsut faded out of existence and the rest were all young girls who loved/infatiuated with The Main char who Phased out of existence [spoiler/]
