Muv-Liv Questions. *no spoilers req*

OKay after having read some of the posts and all I am left with well a few questions Now about the upcoming ML:Alternative. Now Before you all start screamign SPOILERS no wanted here bla bla bla bla.... I am NOT going to ask for anything beyond soem very specific and specifically vague Things :)



Question #1: Where does Alternative start up in relation to the last one. At the one of the many endings? or at a specific one *DO NOT WANNA KNOW WHICH IF IT IS A SPECIFIC ONE of the multiple Romance ones!"



Question 2: I keep hearing and reading people say Alternative gave them PTSD. Are they being serious or just joking cause I find it hard to beleive a VN would Give a person Post Traumatic Stress Dissorder.



Question #3: Does Alternative follow the well Ending structure of the previous VNs before it. IE: are there multiple endings depending on who you choose. Sub question: If so are any of these endings Split into liek with unlimited, A Normal. and HAPPY....ish Ending? Or does it merely have the traditional 2. Good or bad ending? Or does it have a Normal, a good and a BAD ending?


A little more info for this quesiton so you can understand better why and what I am asking, Given the previos VNs were Romantic scifi/comedy types and all had well Happy romanticish endings based on who and what you chose I am curious if given Alternative being the FINAL one of the three if it two will have the options ot achive these kinds of endings or if they have limited the thing to one singular ending for the protagonists.





Hope that made sense. Now last two questions.


QUestion #4. I read some people say alterantive has a satisfying conclusion and others say not so. Does alterative at least answer all the Questiosn anyone may have had starting with extra and having played through it? *(Again I do no want to know or ask what they might be jsut if the ending is...complete and satisfying of that criteria.

Okay thanks for reading all this and Again I don't need or am asking for ANY spoilets I just am curious about these points as I gotta wait 3-4 months or more before I can even try to answer them on my own

Can't answer most of your questions as I have no idea. But, I can say with 100% certainty the IOS version will not be an 18+ version ever as apple would never allow that. Android it's possible, that's really up to the developer though and unlikely.

#2 You won't get actual PTSD.. Real PTSD is scary and there is no way you will get that from a game

#3 Alt is sort of kinetic unlike the previous two parts. It doesn't have nearly as many choices.

#4 After I finished Alt I knew that I finished the best VN of all time. I am happy with that and I love it.

#5 iOS will likely never be 18+, if anything I could see apple forcing them to censor it more then it is.. but I doubt it.. It will likely be the same as the current steam version.

I refuse to give any more detail then that.

Q1: (Don't look at this part if you don't want to spoil where Alternative begins) It doesn't stem from any of the endings. If you really want to know, it starts from the beginning of Unlimited again but Takeru's memories are intact

Q2: Yeah, that would be a joke.

Q3: Alternative only has one ending.

Q4: I can't really answer that one as I don't focus on or nitpick holes in the plot. I was happy with the ending though and that's all that mattered for me. I was definitely crying at the ending and this is and will most likely forever be the best VN I've ever read.

Q5: I can't imagine it would be 18+ off the bat no.

1: Well, the reason for the beginning of Alternative is part of the core plot of the triology that's revealed along the story, so it's spoiler in nature....(and since you mentioned you're not asking for spoiler.....XD) but @Bluewave41's answer should suffice if you really want to know.

2: While PTSD is kinda overused as our reaction towards Alternative, it's not exactly that serious. It does leave a emotional impact for some readers, subjective to individual taste.

3: It follows kinetic VN, so there's only one conclusive epilogue. Though the few choices will affect a few scenes IIRC (but overall the same).

4: In terms of the plot, the ending serves pretty well to round off Muv-Luv's story, and personally I am satisfied with it. The mixed reaction you mentioned is just because of personal preference.

5: No official details about it yet, even for Japanese side. Though I think it'll probably be All-Age. (again, my own speculation)

Well I didn't want to make aanyone uncomfortable in posting....but so far I am seeing that #% is a unilateral NO *eyerolls* Seriously people need to grow up there and #4 is a Satisfyiong one.

#2 clearly is a Joke Thanks for clearign that up I was really confused on that one.....And 1 and 3......no one's really givign a straightish answer there but I don't want the ending / or endings ruined....Though....I really do wanna see how this all ends.....but I am starting toi get a.....feelign its gonna be a ending like how they ended that show RWBY season 3. a Phyric *spelling* Victory.

Even if not 18+ on Android I prolly will sitll buy all three again though I would prefer the unaltered VN to get the full effect but we live in an imperfect world

#2 Nothing like PTSD, but some people could throw up, have nightmares or be unable to sleep after reading some scenes.

Ah.... Well I've watched the hellraiser, aliens and the ML:Alt Total ecplise and I seem fine *twittch twitch* Totally fine! course I also Like snipign super mutant suiciders in thier bomb arms in the middle of groups of eneies and laughing sooo I may not be a good litmus test there.




Still... I gotta ask one more question.... Is there Romance in Alternative? like the previous ones.....and I am not asking how just if there is IS there a HAPPY Non Crying and having to tragically move on ending?

You see one of the strengths of the VN medium is the high degree of self-insertion that it allows. Usually it's just seen as a tool for romcoms but if done well, events that happen to you will have an entirely different kind of impact than if you were just watching a movie about the very same events. This is also why anime adaptations of VNs always feel so diluted in the experience department.

You'll see what I'm talking about eventually. The interrogation scene while still in aftershock of chomp is the most immersive moment in any piece of media I've ever experienced and will probably remain as such. I felt just as numb as Takeru in that scene. I also played that part late at night.

I am not doubting that I more meant do we get to pick WHO it's with or has that already been decided ahead of time!..........and I was also more asking if there will be more....well to use old movies and clasical liturature. A more of a ladyhawke ending to the romance.....instead of a Romeo and jullet type

OKay.....HEre is the basic Question Is there only one rmance path in alternative. Ie only one choice/person with for the protagonist, as opposed to the Multiple romantic endings you were able to achive in the other games. example there is No Ayamie Romantic Ending In alterantive that would be calssified as "Happy" not sad. And No Happy romantic ending at all?
