How does the Co-Op work exactly?
I don't know if its the language thing or the fact that twitch only has people playing solo, but I have been trying in vain to find out the details on this so i will just describe my desired way to play and hopefully someone can yea or nay it.

Can one go on with a single/couple/few friends on a closed/private server/gaming session and work through the game at our own pace in its entirety together without randoms dropping in... and can progress be saved in the manner described, where said co-op group comes back on a subsequent gaming night and they can all pick up right where they left off?

And is Co-Op somehow different than Multiplayer in this way for this game? (Steam lists both attributes of course).

Thanks in advance.

The only co-op experience you can have is in the expedition mode that allows for offline and online play (in which you can create private rooms). This mode only has battles there is no story involved in it at all its simply just to collect mats, earn cash, level characters and regiment level (which unlocks betters horse or weapons that you can buy.

The game auto saves after every mission but you can save if you return to the menu and go into the options.

long story short, the multiplayer experience like dynasty warrior, only flaw is that all member in your party have to disable the mic before doing multiplayer because of crash issue regarding to mic function and yeah, base on my experience, you cant join public session, just private between your steam friend

You can do public sessions. I hosted one earlier and played with 3 randoms. Did some survey missions and it worked well enough.

We will be playing in the same room so mic is a non-issue. So you're saying there is a pretty simple inherent way to choose "online play" and create a private room for invites only? Is "offline" play LAN by any chance?

And if so... there is no story per say but a decent amount of content and things to do in this friends only private co-op mode??
