Game Mechanic Questions

So the game never really explains what specifically your item/weapon stats do in-game (which is stupid), so I still don't understand what stat does what.

For starters, and this is my most pressing question, what do the dexterity/concentration stats affect? I've spent hours playing this game and I still can't figure it out. Basically, is higher Dex less gas comsumption, and higher Concentration less blade consumption, or is it the other way around?

The other confusing stats for me are Reel Speed and Gas Pressure. In what circumstances do those increase your speed? Does Reel Speed only apply when you're attacking a titan limb, or does it also affect your ODM movement speed too? Does Gas Pressure only affect your speed when boosting with A, or does it also affect your ODM movement speed when you're not boosting?

If anyone can clear these things up for me with certainty, I would be extremely grateful. I can't find detailed info on this ANYWHERE, and I have tried.

With respect to your intent to help, this was a useless response.

Dex and Con I'm pretty sure affect either Gas and Blades each and I doubt they affect both at the same time, which is why I asked the question.

As for the rest, you were really ambiguous with your choice of words, so it wasn't much more help than the help menu (which I already knew existed).

I'm sounding pretty rude, I know, but I did say I would like a clear answer. Saying Gas Pressure only works when boosting, then following that up with "but actually I don't know" does not help me in the slightest. I think I did find out that Reel Speed is only when you're reeling towards a titan though.

Now my only concern is which item stats (Blade Durability and Gas Capacity) go with which character stats (Dex or Con), and if Gas Pressure affects your movement speed.

Dextery is for less gas consumption for anything (Pretty much any action related to the wires actually consumes gas, as little as it may be) and Concentration is for extra blade durability for any attack (It also allows you to activate focus time more times). The stats in general are well explained in the tips and tricks section at the character select screen.

Reeling speed does indeed help to reach top speed while attacking a titan faster,

So am I correct to make the assumption that reel speed is the value representing the distance it takes to do increased damage to a titan?

Ex. Reel speed = 100
20 meters to max damage
Reel speed = 400
12 meters to max damage

Gas pressure does affect normal travel on the ODM without boost. You accelerate slower while just using your anchor keys if you use scabbards with lower gas pressure. I dont think it affects top speed tho, once you get up to speed

Is top speed universal or is it dependent on gear? I get the feeling gear only increases acceleration.

I believe it does affect top speed, and I do not think acceleration is a thing, as the general speed of your character seems to be constant. Acceleration only happens when you swing a certain way.

In any case, I think I get it now: Gas Pressure affects the overall movement speed of your ODM gear, when you are or aren't boosting, Dex is Gas Consuption, and Conc. is Blade Durability. Reel Speed is only a thing when you are attacking a titan, and like Rednavi and Buttons said, I believe it affects how quickly you hit your "ideal non-boosting speed" when you're attacking a limb/nape.
