Last mission Dire Subjugation

In the mission called "Last line of defence" with the armor titan and the colossal There is one requirement "get 40 kills" Whatever I do, I will always fail one of the others and I cant get the 40.. When I let my team die, so I can get more kills, erwin doesnt show up so it's a no go.. if I do everything I can to help everybody I get only 31-34 kills. Is there something I am doing wrong or what?! Been going at for 3 hours now cus this is one of the last achievements but I honestly start believing I am glitched :(

just kill the legs of the colossal titan but dont attack his neck. now kill all small titans around the colossal titan. if all small titans are dead, head to the green missions. everything is dead? hit the neck of the colossal titan and repeat everything until the dire subjugation pops up

I did that 3 times... I come up short everytime for about 5 kills...

Like, I am doing it right now ... only thing remaining is the colossal and the armor .. I hit its leg and keeping him alive but no other titans spawn .. so I am stuck on 38 kills right now -______-

I found the solution yesterday:

Make sure that the colossal titan goes at least half the way to the wall!

So, DON`T attack him until he is in the middle of the map. Then stop him (attacking legs etc.) and do the side missions.

The problem is, that when you do the side mission with (rico and hannes?), they will start bombing the colossal titan. This will probably kill a few smaller titans because they spawn near the wall...

So if he is in the middle of the map, the bombing will be there and not kill smaller titans..

Well I found a solution also ... You have to attack it RIGHT AWAY .. lmao haha.. then it goes down and blows of steam, but it releases a extra horde of new titans.

I was so happy and thought I finally got the achievement... then I noticed you have to get all dire titans also in the survey missions and ♥♥♥♥ .. I cried.

same problem here i do 38/40 subjugation ...it's normal?? im 100% rico don' kill titans with cannos

Kill the titans at the beginning .. then inmedeatly get the colossal titan on his knees (gives you a extra pack) then do all the side missions and ♥♥♥♥

I suggest delaying side missions till they're critical. When you do mission with garrison troops near inner wall they start bombarding small titans that spawn making it almost impossible to get 40 kills. Also they bombard colossal so he can't move at all. BUT you need to do it at least partially because it has 2 titan spawns for 2-3 titans each there.
Basically what I did:
1. Rush in and kill all small titans.
2. Get colossal on his knees. Hit his neck (being sure not to kill him of course)
3. Kill wave of small titans.
5. Hit colossal's neck, wait doing nothing until side missions get purple. Not sure if waiting is needed.
6. Trigger mission with armoured titan, rush to second side mission, complete it, return to colossal titan (should be in center of map in my game, not sure if that's needed).
7. Get colossal on his knees.
8. Kill wave of small titans.
9. Go do side missions. At the end of them you should have 40 kills. Now finish dire and do whatever you want.

P.S. I've never tried to let colossal pass more than half of path to wall, maybe somewhere on 2/3rd there's third wave of small titans?

I tried to let him go 2/3 and the end but nothing spawned. Only thing that worked for me is kill everything, then get him on his knees fast so be blows off steam (He only does that when you down him fast) and you get a expra pack of titans. Took me 3 hours to figure it out :(

i think all you really need to do is get him down two times and hit his neck each time without killing him
