This is especially the case if your using Levi and his chain attack, this will waste your blades quickly as it does less dmg per hit so you'll end up having to hit more often (Early on anyways, probably not an issue when you have really high durability blades)
I wasn't aware it wore down blades quicker, wow. Thanks for the tip!!
It doesn't wear them quicker exactly, it's that each attack in the chain does less dmg then the first original hit. So by doing less dmg per hit your needing to hit more which makes your blades run out faster.
You always fully regain DBS meter when you complete a side mission so you don't really need to keep DBS for last, it's actually handicapping yourself doing that. It's wise to use DBS as soon as it full as it will help increasing DBS rank (max 3), the higher DBS rank will keep your DBS mode to stay for much longer than a DBS without rank, helpful when a last subjugation with a large number of titans appear at the final objective as you can use a longer version of DBS to kill them all. You can check your DBS rank at a bottom left under a character portrait, the shield looking thing is a DBS rank.
