Redcon Crashes steam (RESOLVED)
anyone else having an issue that Redcon crashes steam without any error? after this failure the game is supposedly running in background but refuses to shutdown in task manager... requires system reboot in order to attempt a restart of the application. Anyone out there with suggestions as to how to handle this...

just some clarification to the issue

1. game does not start
2. game seems to activate 3 separate instances of redcon.exe in task manager
3. non of these instances can be shutdown in taskmanager
4. shortly after attempting to start game, without any error steam crashes.

what I have attempted.
1. deleted local content and reinstalled game
2. restarted computer.
3. attempted to run game on windows xp sp 3 emulation

my systems is as follows
Windows 7 home premium 64bit
intel i7 4790
8gigs of ram
GTX550 TI

Cache is verified... launching without steam crashes explorer.exe...

Update!...
Had a hunch... I disabled "Desktop Composition" and that seems to work... thanks Rey
