Can't enter snakehole in Haunted House

I beat the rest of the game and I'm trying to 100% it, am I supposed to be blocked from entering this snakehole? It looks like I'm supposed to go through it.

You can't go through it because the other side is blocked. You reach this place from another room (think bathtub).
