[SPOILERS] Ending scene?

At the end, there was a scene with the green-haired girl. There was a green-haired boy in the final scene (unless that's the girl), and I'm wondering if the girl is trapped in another world which is why the blue dude's looking at her picture?

Or is that a Wonder Boy reference? I saw her on the church so I dunno. I thought the Wonder Boy games had something about saving a green-haired girl which was alluded to here, but I didn't get why it was a boy saved in the end and why the ending scene had music and the blue dude looking at the green-haired girl in a painting.

The green haired boy in the fina lcutscene is the little brother of Jin in human form, Zeke.

The green haired girl Pepelogoo is searching might be the one you see at the final scene if you 100% the game. As far as we know she might be the next Heroine of the upcoming sequel (aka Monster Girl then?).

The green haired boy from the ending scene is Zeke, Jins brother who was in the battle arena with Jin and who you only see as a small dragon during your adventure. The green haired girl which you see in the 100% completion bonus scene is Asha, the girl Pepelogoo was looking for all the time. The scene is a hint to a possible sequel of the game. Asha is captured in a strange setting and Pepe stares at her through a mysterious portal.

Just saw it...so I guess it's confirmed it's Asha from MW4 after all. (I thought Pepelegoo mistook Zeke for a girl before I got 100%)

Ugh...now I'll get a bad feeling when I finish Monster World 4 again.

Judging by the cathedral in the town I think that MW IV is a prequel to MB.

Based on the timeline, I thought this was the next game from Game Atelier, but it looks like it's a completely different group.

It's also Wonder Boy (the original SEGA series), not Monster Boy. My real question is why neither Lizardcube nor Dotemu were involved in this one.

Because it's a different team and they didn't get the rights to the name.

Besides, it's still part of the Wonderboy series as the original creator was involved.

Secret ending of Asha is rather confusing for I interpret as Asha being dead since Pepelogoo have been searching high and low for Asha but only find this image of her. If we were to pay close attention, Pepelogoo appear stare intensely at this image which Asha looks like she is resting in peace. So perhaps Monster boy and the cursed kingdom takes place after Wonder boy IV.
