Can't make jump out of caves into forest as pig

I'm trying to make this jump as a pig and can't seem to figure it out. After first getting to town as the pig, you go left and keep going. You wind up in a cave and keep going left. Eventually, there's a sunken area and a meadow.

To get to that meadow, I need to make a really tall jump as the pig. There's no enemy to spring off and somehow I double-jumped up there a few days ago (can't reproduce it). So now I have the snake, but can't proceed back to that area without warping from town to the fox people area.

What am I supposed to do to get up on that cliff as the pig?

Hi! It’s a puzzle and you don’t need to jump here. The cave has light sensitive roots that escape from the light of the torches. Lit the torch in your screenshot first, then the one in the center of that room. The root will try to escape to another spot but since the torch is lit it will escape to a third spot. There’s a button here which will be pressed by the root.

That's pretty funny. So the whole time, I was supposed to solve the puzzle and ended up glitching it the first time around. Makes sense now!

Second time around, and I got stuck here again as well, and there appears to be no way out of it. I can't seem to warp or restart the level or anything. Last time I just had to end my game and restart to get back to it again. Unless I'm just missing something, you should never be able to get stuck like this.
