Game Won't Open

I run the game, but the game won't open, I try to dissable DEP, but can't select the launcher, I try in Windows 7

Oh, and to play the game after release, is necesary these updates? I really want to buy the game, I'm playing the demo in other PC and... It's fantastic

Thank you for checking out the demo! We recommend Windows 10 for the game but if you run it in Windows 7, it must be an up-to-date version of the OS. The full version has similar requirements as the demo to run properly.

Bought the full game on Windows 7 and had the same problem, where launching it did basically nothing.
I found this thread and downloading / installing Microsoft Update KB4019990 fixed it instantly.
Kudos to the developer for such straightforward troubleshooting, and bumping for anyone else that might need to see this. Glad I didn't just give up, this game is so charming and right up my alley.

I have installed this patch, but still can't enter the game, I am WIN7. Flashback occurs when you click Run.

In addition to KB4019990, Win7 SP1 users will need KB2670838 and DirectX End-User Runtimes June 2010 installed for the game to launch. Sorry for bumping thread this old, first hit on Google so I thought I'd share the solution.
