Is it the same game as Worlds of Magic ?
Worlds of Magic was already very similar to Fallen Enchantress, and Planat Conquest seems to be very similar to Worlds of magic, with a hint of Warlock 2.
I understand that it is inspired by old classics like Master of Magic and the like, but I think it's also important to give personnality to a game. So what makes this game different from numerous similar games that are already on the market ?

yes it is...kinda. They ported part of it over to iPads and such and I was dumb enough to try both. While it's trying hard to be Master of Magic, it isn't (MoM happens to be in my top 5 all time favorites). Some element is missing for me (fun?) but maybe you will like it. I still have MoM on my hard drive which solves many problems posed by the newcomers. Wargaming did a fair job with Master of Orion...maybe they'll get to tinker with this one too...
...either way, good gaming!

I am not sure and maybe its just the pictures. But graphics look definetly a bit more slim then in Worlds of Magic. Is it a portation? Like in "we built a handygame similiar to WoM?"
Please give us some information. Whats new, whats old, what fell apart?

Planar Conquest is essentially a relaunch of Worlds of Magic using a new engine and some tweaks to the mechanics. If you already own WoM on Steam then the PC version of Planar Conquest will be added your library upon release.

Yep, it's mostly about improving visual part of the game and redoing whole GUI. There are some minor mechanics changes as well, but nothing really serious. Improved AI as well. And last but not least, a lot of old nasty bugs have been fixed.

I think it's still available for purchase on Steam, but eventually, it will be disontininued. You can read some about it here:

Very good question indeed. Do Planar Conquest replace the original Worlds of Magic or do we keep a copy of both games (even when WOM is discontinued)?

I really want to start a new campaign while waiting for Planar Conquest (Wom wasn't a bad game imho either) but I want to be sure I can keep playing it in the future.

Worlds of Magic should stay in the library.

And what about finishing WoM?
Those of us who backed the game back then on KS and pledged for add-ons have yet to receive any of them.

Sent them a message via KS.
But so far I have yet to hear of anyone (other than yourself) getting theirs.
Even the website that contained the basic Steam key is down and no longer accessible.
