Building roads

Hi, I'm just starting a new game with the Dwarf faction and wanted to build some roads between my first cities. The Engineer does take his time while building the roads, but when he's finished, I don't see that anything has changed on the terrain tiles. No indication of the newly build roads. Is this intentional?

Unfortunately, at least for now, roads don't show at least on hills/mountains and are hard to see on forests. I do hope devs intend to fix this eventually.

I hope so, too. In MoM roads were a sight to see in advanced kingdoms, especially on Myrror.
