I'm with you on the weavers, some habits are hard to shed. I've been Doom Bolt happy since MoM though. I still have to back the over-enchanted wardens while we're on the dark elf topic. Moving from WoM to PC, it takes a few of them and you have to now back them up with enforcers, but to me it's more realistic this way instead of the lone ranger in WoM which you kept from start to finish.
I'm going to have to give my set of Paladins some honorable respect before I go. Picked them both up from taverns for 600gp, and they are solid in all respects. I never save before a fight if I have one in my army. Just having those two spells on hand, 170-ish life, and the patience to wait for a softened up unit to charge on seems to get there.
Paladins are ok I guess. I feel their damage is low due to only having 2 figures and their HP is also not high enough for me to be confortable. The aura they have is about the best thing about them and I guess the spells ain't bad too.
