Bugs and Technical issues - READ FIRST!
Hi,

To clear up discussions and make our lives easier in terms of supporting the game and fixing it, I've just created new subforum dedicated for bugs and technical issues

The first thing you need to clear up is that the game still often fails to respond to clicks to select a unit. This causesme to give the wrong command to the wrong unit far too often. I've barely started playing PC and i'm already shouting at the screen every few minutes.

The spell Stone Sentinels (the one that adds 4 earth elementals during a siege) is bugged and exploitable to kingdom come.

Now I only tested this with auto solve but what happens is, rather than summon 4 earth elementals (EE for short) when the enemy attacks it shows 2 or 3 in guarison. However when you auto resolve it will show you 12 EE fought in the battle (no it wasn't cast by my sorcerer cause I don't have the spell or anyone that can cast that spell). Not only that but after the battle is over the 8 excess EE are added to your army which leads to the following exploit.

Rush stone sentinels research. Cast it on a city at least. Leave no guarrison so the NPC attacks and gets crushed, now you got an attack army without summoning costs, just the upkeep.

Actually you are first one who reports any issues with selecting anything after the release (there were some issues with beta).
Would you care to share your PC specs?
Does it happens with every unit on every plane?
Would you care to send the save game?

Two problems:
a) Split Army and click on a field in their range: nothing happens, I must split the army again and click in an field in the near.
b) If I click on an army and then on an other army: The old army is still active.

Here are the issues I have noticed:

- Sometimes, after many turns of gameplay, the screen will suddenly stop scrolling. Moving the mouse to the top, bottom, or sides of the screen doesn't work. I can select new units, and it will re-center on them, but that's the only way to move the screen. Once this bug occurs, I also can not zoom in or out.

- It's hard to see roads that have been built on hills. I can't tell if they're built or not. It'd also be great if you could scroll over a square and it told you it had a road on it, the same way it tells you there is coal or wild game or whatever.

I know I'm leaving one off. I should have written this down while I was in the game.

I will say though that I like this game overall. I am happy with the direction it took with the re-boot. A lot of the UI changes are great, they make the game very playable. A bit more work a few more patches, and multiplayer support, and you'll have a winner in my book.

A "comet has struck your empire" event has "lorem ipsum" flavor text.
Also, after I received it, I got an endless AI turn, although saving the game during this turn and re-loading it allowed me to proceed normally.

I've been playing a game at around turn 120, with a few engineers buiding roads and one killer army of around 12 units. Sometimes, when moving the big army, say, 4 spaces, they move a space and then freeze. I've got time to think, "has the game crashed?" before they move a couple more spaces, then the same thing happens. This only happens from time to time and the game does not crash, only hang for a while - so far. It's not like it's an obvious AI issue, it's just moving my own army across some plains. My machine was a mid-range Win 7 AMD processor games PC when bought 2.5 years ago and I'm playing on fast graphics setting. 4 GB RAM, only used for a few games and mostly empty disk space, etc. I doubt I can reproduce the issue for you.

An Opposing Wizard cast the spell Artic Chill. Which limits movement. After combat all my Paladins can only move 2 spaces. Very Annoying.

Restarting the game fixed the issue. Strange.

This SEEMS to be a bug:

I had a total mana income of 104 per turn (split 33-36-35). I conquered a node and started to siphon it. A few turns later (after finishing the siphoning), I noticed my net mana figure per turn had gone from +7 before I conquered the node to a red -4. I checked on my total mana income and it was now 117 (37-40-40). The -4 was being subtracted from my mana reserves at end of turn, too.

I wasn't doing any spellcasting or forging and I hadn't done any summoning, lost any resources or features to explain the -4 figure. I couldn't see anything my single enemy was doing to drain my mana, either, and no random events or corruption to affect my net mana per turn.

I would have expected my net mana per turn to have gone to something like +16, not -4, so what else could cause that?

EDIT: I replayed a few turns and this seems to be something called Wrath of the Gods, which shows in the end of turn summary but with no explanation. What is it? An enemy spell? If so, it doesn't appear in the list of continuous enchantments, but the effect seems to be ongoing, but variable per playthrough. If it's a spell and I can't see it, can I disjunct it?

Combat not ending bug.

Every so often I get a bug where combat wont end. Not able to auto resolve and the only way out of combat is to return to desktop. Very annoying when it happens.

1 I'm finding some features are not being shown properly on the Paradise plane when they are among the trees. I'm pretty sure what is happening is that some or all of the graphics of these features are missing, where they share a tile with some trees. This happens on some boots of the game, not all of them (about 50% of the time so far).

Try to spot the earth node in this screenshot.

(answer: it's next to the lake, 2 tiles to the right and one row up from the lair.)


2 I've been getting a very unpleasant effect on the minimap where parts of it are dark shaded where my scouting magic spirits have paased through. This didn't happen on my previous playthrough, so maybe it's specific to this plane or only some planes? The dark bits are the paths my units have followed, NOT bits where they haven't been.

This was a feature of the world when first generated. Having quit the game and reloaded, the minimap doesn't have those dark trails on it, but I don't have any more units wandering around at this time, so this glitch may be back later.

I have Win7, AMD FX-4100 3.60 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Radeon 7700 from a couple of years ago with 1024 MB, game set to fast graphics.

Hello. I just got a nasty bug. After getting the 11th city and got the -5% economy hit, i noticed i couldn't anymore click on the city "icons" on the map to bring up the relative town screen! Moreover doubleclicking on a town briefly opens the town screen and immediately closes it! To manage the city i've to go everytime on the city menu and scroll from there! I kept the savegame if it could help you look into this bug! Anyone got anything similar?
Apart from bugs that can be patched hopefully i wanted to let my voice join others in saying very nice game! It really has the old MOM feeling and that's really good! Keep up with the good work!

After around turn 140 I stopped being able to cast some spells (like heal or blessed circle.) I can still continue playing but it gives an unfair edge to computer opponents. I suspect that it may e because of Darkness spell is in the efect. But I could not find a player who cast it. Neither was I able to find a quick filter in the huge list of active spells. Please fix the issues, the game has great potential, but is barely playable the way it exists now.
