Campaign is missing?

Okay, I get that this is a multiplayer party strategy game - but apart from this very basic concept, how exactly is this supposed to work? The videos I have found on this game so far feature no commentary at all, just gameplay footage. There are hardly any reviews and the game's description on the store page is a bit limited, too....

is it unity or gamemaker or something else/custom?

This game looks great! I'm so excited to give it a try. It mentions being a party game. Am I correct to assume this means 3+ local (i.e. split/shared screen) players is possible? I wasn't able to tell from anything I saw on game page or videos.
