Overload PS4 Release Date

Something seems wrong though. If the game was really releasing today I would think it would be available now...anyone have any other info? Has there been a delay maybe?

Sorry for the confusion. We had (and I guess are still having) some issues with correct info being on the store page. It is *not* out now, though we are basically on the final steps of getting it approved/ready to release. So it should be soon, but we don't have a hard date right now. We might also hold it back a bit for concurrent release with XBoxOne (they are slightly more behind in the process). A guess, but I would lean towards it being released between 1.5 and 4 weeks. Again, not sure at this time.

And yes, cross play can happen between PS4 & PC (if you want to, you can also limit it to *only* play with PS4 people - it's a toggle and you can switch it whenever you want to).

I totally understand! It is much better to release it at the same time as the other console release. I appreciate the info! I don't mind waiting either. You guys are doing the right thing making sure everything is right before release.

I am really excited about the cross platform multiplayer. This is not a common feature in games these days and I have friends who are on PC, so this is awesome! I can't wait for it to be available. Thank you for putting the game together, it looks incredible. I went ahead and ordered a physical copy of the soundtrack to hold me over till release day...

Okay, so now Sony has updated the release date. According to them Overload is releasing on 9/18/18!

I'm sorry to say that is still not correct. Not really sure why it got updated to that arbitrary day, but I can see if it's something we did on our end.

That said, it sounds like we did decide on a date (it was decided yesterday actually), though we're not announcing just yet. Not 100% on when we'll announce, but it should be soon. I'd guess that we'll announce by the end of next week, but this is 100% a guess, and I'm not the one making the call ;).

OK. Still a little vague here - we have a date that we're shooting for, but there's a couple of things that are out of our control. They should be done *soon*, and then we can take the ball & run with it. Assuming that *soon* isn't significantly slower than we expect, and that other horrible things don't crop up, we're planning on releasing in October. We'll try to post a firm date (instead of the vague month) once we are back in the driver's seat, as soon as we can. I'm hoping we can narrow this down before October starts, but until we get to the next step, the best we can probably say is 'not this week'.

Hoping for an October release date for the game! Of course, best to delay if there are any issues that still need worked out.

Still don't have a solid date right now (so definitely not w/in a week ;) ), but we are still aiming for an October Release, and currently we still think that we'll hit our target. I will try to post here ASAP when I'm fairly confident on an actual day.

Thanks! I check this forum basically everyday. I currently am trying to promote the game through my PS4 community connections in the hopes that I will pull a lot of new players into the game (like for multiplayer as well!) I also just started a PS4 community for the game (although right now it is not officially associated with the game since Overload is not even listed on PSN yet). Once it is released I will be doing a review on my youtube channel as well as gameplay videos...can't wait for this one, feels like its been forever haha. I realize it is out of you guys hands though...MS and Sony hurry it up already lol

Our target is still this month. We haven't 'failed' yet, nor have we 'succeeded' yet, if that makes sense ;). On the PS4 side, it's looking pretty solid, and the XBone side is *almost* there. We would like to release them at the same time, but if XBone will cause a significant delay to PS4, we may release that one first. I don't *think* that will be the case, and I'm still optimistic about this month. All these words, and I basically said nothing :).
