obviously there is nothing to stop someone re-creating the levels with overload assets when the editor is available.
Heck, call them "Overload Legacy Packs". And change minor details so that the copyright ninjas can't pitch fits (at least until the copyright runs out).
Many of the fans of this game have something of a love affair with the old games. If the devs don't do it, they will -- and they'll probably do it better.
What I'd like to see more than the old levels ported over directly is the old levels updated and reiterpreted with Unity's graphical capabilities. If modding the game becomes possible the editor itself should make this easy.
