Its sensory, its in the name, it includes all the senses, touch, hearing, visioning dunno about smelling or tasting.

I'm deaf in one ear, and have hearing loss in the other. Even with speakers instead of headphones it wouldn;t be much use as I can't hear well and have no ability to tell what direction sounds come from (no stereo sound).
Can't see this being of use to me, got it in a bundle not understanding what it was. Oh well, no big deal, I'll sell the trading cards.

@Jᴀғᴀғᴀ Hᴏᴛs very sorry to hear about your condition. Many people find ASMR relaxing and calming and it does not have to be just about sounds.
