New Update for VirZOOM Bike Owners
I received the following update via email today:

Your VirZOOM Bike and VZfit

Hi everyone,

You're receiving this email because you're registered on my.virzoom.com as an owner of a VirZOOM bike controller. If you have been following our recent updates, including and especially this blog post, then you are aware that we have made a couple of announcements that concern you.

(Side note: if you are no longer using VirZOOM Arcade or your my.virzoom.com account, then we apologize for this email. Please be assured that this is a one-time mailing.)

VZfit represents the way forward for us to develop new content and reach new fitness users with affordable all-in-one headsets. We have always wanted to provide frequent and consistent updates to all of you, but our desire to support as many platforms as possible, to reach as many potential people as possible, made that incredibly difficult. Our decision to focus entirely on the Oculus Go and soon-to-be-released Oculus Quest was not an easy one for us. We feel these devices represent the best balance of capability, accessibility, and price for fitness users, and focusing on them will allow our team to make the new content you've all asked for, rather than continuously updating and porting to a multitude of VR platforms.

We understand this means to enjoy new content from VirZOOM, you'll need to purchase an Oculus Go or Quest. The upside is that it will automatically be free to ALL original VirZOOM bike owners, in appreciation of you having been with us this long. We hope this offer can help offset some of the cost of purchasing a Go or Quest.

Additionally,

We have no intention of removing VirZOOM Arcade from any of the platforms where it is currently published and we plan to keep my.virzoom.com up and running for as long as that is feasible.
Our first new game for VZfit is called VZfit Explorer, which gives you a way to ride anywhere in the world. We have also updated our existing games into VZfit Play, making them more appropriate for workouts, head-to-head matchups, and online events.
We are releasing an updated software development kit that will be compatible with the new Sensor Kit, but also with our original bike controller, and that will continue to be compatible with many PC and Android platforms. This means that other people could develop applications for VZfit that utilize additional headsets than what we will be supporting moving forward.
If you plan on coming over to VZfit (and we very much hope you will) there are a couple of things for you to know.
If you still own a VirZOOM bike you do NOT need to purchase a Sensor Kit to move to VZfit. As stated above, your bike is definitely compatible with our new apps and automatically provides your free access. You only need to acquire an Oculus Go or wait until the Oculus Quest releases.
My.virzoom.com is not changing, so we have created a new account for you on vzfit.com with your same username and email address. For security reasons we are not able to migrate passwords, so you will need to "recover" your password by visiting this link.
Once you have logged into your new vzfit.com account you should see a set of Oculus redemption codes available to you for VZfit Play and VZfit Explorer. Follow the instructions there and then look for the apps in your headset under Library -> Not Installed. You may then download from there as of today.

After you have recovered your password please join us on our forums. We want your feedback, your requests, and even your complaints. Please join us there and help us build an active community.

If you have any problems at all with this process, or have any questions for us, please email support@virzoom.com and let us know. We've also updated our website to better inform and communicate with our customers.

We would love for you to come with us as we forge this new path forward.

-The VirZOOM Team

Had been thinking about getting a stand alone HMD (have a VivePro) which I will definitely keep, but this might just give me the incentive to get a Quest. Hopefully they will be out soon. Don't want a Go as they are already outdated. If anyone has a GO and can try the new apps (especially the Explorer) let us know how it is.

I have an Oculus go and the VIRzoom bike with the USB dongle.
So how do I connect the bike to the headset?

I have tried using an OTG cable (On The Go Cable) and connected the dongle directly to the headset then tried to pair a new controller

I have tried just pairing the bike as a new controller.

Is there any info on how to connect the bike to the headset?

Oh, and also, do you intend to support the Lenovo Mirage Solo?
Which at this time is only 350

Hi Roy,

Our apps running on the Go and Quest will pair directly to the bike for you. No need for a dongle anymore with those headsets, but also be sure to not manually pair the bike to the headset as that will prevent our apps from finding it. If you are having trouble please email support@virzoom.com.

We will not be supporting the Lenovo Mirage Solo. Oculus Go and Quest only, although as stated above we will be releasing our SDK, which others could use to build apps for other platforms.

Best,
Jason

Also, I may not have been clear enough with my post in the other thread. We will not be monitoring the steam forums regularly so if you have any questions there are a few options.

- Email support@virzoom.com for any technical issues
- Ask us questions at vzfit.com/forums
- Email contact@virzoom.com for questions, although this is like to get the slowest response

Thanks,
Jason
