Can't cook meat? Controls

I recently got an adapter for xbox 360 to use with my PC. I immediately tested the controller with Overcooked and found that it works. However, I realized that I cannot cook meat. I can chop lettuce and tomatos fine. I unplugged the adapter and decided to use my keyboard to check if it was only the controller, same result. Have I done something wrong unknowingly that I can't place the meat in the fryer? Also, I played the game with my girflriend wiith her laptop before and before loading I was prompted to load the Steam Cloud. I thought it wouldn't be an problem but, could this have caused the issue? Or am I just missing something completely about the in game controls? haha. Thanks.

Are you trying to place meat directly from the crate into the pan? Because, at least where I am, you have to chop the meat just like you do everything else before cooking it

Thanks for the reply. I actually discussed it with my girlfriend following my post and found out I needed to chop the meat as well. Hahaa-- It's been a while... Silly me.
