Issue with new characters from the DLC

My boyfriend and I have been playing through the new DLC of Overcooked on his computer, but when we complete levels that unlock new characters- such as the bear in the Lost Morsel, or the Snowman in the festive DLC, they aren't available to be selected. We tried restarting the game to no avail and no one else seems to be having this issue. Any suggestions?

I've not come across this before and couldn't guess what's going wrong without more information.
So that I better understand what is causing this, I'd like to ask that you please get back in touch with the following:

1. Are the characters (unlockable) visible in the character select screen
   
2. What star ratings did you complete the levels with (please give a list of the levels that unlock characters and your star rating for each)
   
3. Whether you've successfully been able to use any unlocked characters (from the base-game or DLC)
   
4. Whether a file cache check resolves the issue *

Hi, the characters that are unlockable from the Lost Morsel and Festive DLC are not visible in the character select screen even though it says we have unlocked them, but all the unlockable characters from the main game that we have gotten are able to be selected and played.
Here are the levels that we have completed:
Festive-
1-1 (2 Stars)
1-2 (2 Stars)
1-3 (3 Stars)
1-4 (1 Star)
1-5 (1 Star)
1-6 (Stars)
Lost Morsel-
1-1 (3 Stars)
1-2 (2 Stars)
1-3 (3 Stars)
We have not tried a file cache check, but I will get back to you with results

No. The devs have not gotten back to me and nothing I've tried has worked.
