What are the controls needed?

I am wondering how many buttons are needed on a controller in order to play the game.

Also can I play two player on pc with just two controllers? or does one have to be on keyboard?

Directions, one button to pick up stuff, another to use items, and another (optional, but good) for dashing, and that's all.

Each player can use their controller. You can also "split" each controller and play 4 people using only two controllers, two players on each controller, for example.

Playing on keyboard is not obligatory, there's a screen where you can choose the input devices and add additional players, prior to each stage.

I really like the game design, seems to be a perfect mix between action and strategy. But honestly, the levels can be frustrating at times. But it's really fun when playing with friends.

how exaclty can I not play on keyboard? I tired to figure it out but I couldnt. It would be so much better as I could play from teh couch on the big screen if I didnt have to sit at the keyboard

On the character selection screen, pressing ESC makes the keyboard player leave the match.

You can also press Y on Xbox controller so it opens up the Controller Split Settings, if needed, to set the input for each player.

It just adds keyboard to player 1 if you press space when opening the game.
