How To Play Online Multiplayer
Hello guys. Although I do not own this game and have actually wanted to get this a while back, I believe that it feels right to share some tips on how you can play this game online with your friends. Now I'm not sure if this goes against any guidelines or things of that nature but this is simply a work-around if there are still people out there wishing to play with their friends online. With that out the way, here are 2 methods on how you can play this game online with your friends.

***NOTE***

-Only one person is required to own a copy of this game in order for either of these methods to work.

-The only thing your friend(s) needs to have is a functioning controller or a keyboard if that's their preferred way of playing. However if they wish to use a keyboard you or whoever is hosting cannot also use a keyboard. This will make more sense once I jump into how you do this.

METHOD 1:
This first method is for NVIDIA users (I'm not sure if the person who is connecting is also required to have a NVIDIA GPU but I would assume so). Whomever is hosting, open up GeForce Experience on your computer. Go to settings (the gear icon in the top right). Go to general settings and tick the box next to "Enable experimental features. A GeForce Experience update may be required". Once you have done that, next enable "In-Game Overlay". Then open the settings under "In-Game Overlay". Scroll down to "Audio" and click it. Make sure you have your preferred microphone settings and MAKE SURE to click the option at the bottom "Separate both tracks" (I believe this will make it so that your friend(s) can hear the game without hearing themselves through your end if you are both using a VOIP program). Now click the back button and go to the "Stream" option. This will ask you "Allow friends to join a game and play as a guest" and you're gonna want to click "Yes". Once you set all that up you can close out of the settings. Next go into Overcooked and press the hotkey to enable the overlay for GeForce Experience. You should see the "Stream" option and you want to click on that and set it to "Copy Invite URL" (I found that option is what works best). From there you should get a link to copy and you're gonna want to send that to your friend(s). They'll be taken to a webpage and are gonna be required to follow a few steps. Once they finish that, they should be able to see your game from their computer and be able to select things and etc. Additionally if they want to change controls they are gonna have to go through the in-game settings and change the settings under their player as if you were playing locally with a friend. (Sorry if some of this is inaccurate as I have never played this game and don't know what settings are like.) And from there you should be done and able to play.

METHOD 2:
This second method is for everyone. A little note is that the person hosting needs to have a good stable internet connection in order for the stream quality to be good. Now you and the people that plan on playing are gonna want to go to this link: https://parsecgaming.com/ . From there you want to click on "Start Playing". This will take you to another page where you will have to sign up, or if you already have an account then log in. Once you and your friend(s) are done making an account or have signed in, click on the "Friends" tab and type in the username they chose and add them. Next, you and your friend(s) need to go to the "Play" tab and click on "Add a Computer". Next click on "Add your own gaming computer". After you click that you should then see some steps that you need to follow on that page. This should be self explanatory but only the person who is hosting needs to click "enable hosting". NOTE: Make sure to say yes to installing the controller drivers when installing the program. Once you have finished following the steps listed the webpage, it should show at the bottom of it that your desktop is connected. Once you see that click "Done". It should take you back to the main page and from there you want to click the friend icon next to the play button and send that link you get to your friends so they can connect to your desktop. Additionally in the program, go to the friends tab and click on each friend that plans on playing, and tick "Allow [username] to see your computer and connect to it with permission". You may also need to tick "Allow [username to connect to and control your computer's input devices" if your friend(s) are not able to select anything in game or move their character however I'm not quite sure. Once you have done all of that next go to settings (gear icon in the top right) in parsec and go to the Computer tab. Set all settings that work best for you but make sure if you want the stream quality to look the absolute best, set "Video Quality to "Highest Definition" and set "Stream Resolution" to either your monitor resolution or whatever resolution you want it to be displayed at. And finally, once you're done have all the people playing plug in their controllers and connect to you through the program. Once each person joins you might hear windows notifications, this only means that windows is installing your friends' controller drivers on your computer. Once that is done all you have to do is launch the game and setup their controls.

ADDITIONAL NOTE FOR METHOD 2:
If you and your friend(s) are using a VOIP program, you may want to look at this guide here https://www.golightstream.com/handbook/how-to-setup-virtual-audio-cables/ so that your friend(s) won't hear themselves while connected to you and so that they are able to hear the game.

I hope that I could be of some help. Enjoy everyone!

Edit: Both of these methods also work for other games that do not support online co-op/online multiplayer but support local co-op/local multiplayer. A popular example would be Cuphead.

Bummer, sorry to hear that. However Overcooked 2 will have online multiplayer, so be on the lookout for that.
