Remote Play Together support

I see that Steam are beta testing the new Remote Play Together feature on Steam. AND...I see that the Overcooked store page has now listed it under their features area! So, I don't own the game right now, but, if it does work and it works well, this totally changes things.

If anyone has or will be trying it, please let folks like myself know that it works or doesn't work! I'm sure I'm not the only one who would really appreciate hearing about this. Thanks in advance!

I just tested it with my friend, the connection is quite good and smooth, but it seems that only the host can use keyboard(not sure). In my situation, my friend and I controlled the same character while using keyboard simultaneously. So, maybe the others can only use controller(I will test it later.)

Ooh, interesting. It sounds like RPT may require one person to rebind some keys if another person already uses the standard keyboard controls. I had never even thought about this issue, but I guess it makes perfect sense, i.e. RPT is creating a dummy PC environment which appears as one machine that everyone connects to. So, for keyboard controls, that may be a limiting factor. However, I think game controllers would be easier to deal with. At least, that's my guess.

I am having issues with connection

I tried remote play with my friend today. Only the host can connect their controller. And for some reason one controller adds 2 players to the game due to a bug with pushing the A button. So how we played the game was that the host had to control 2 characters via controller while the person connected via remote played with the keyboard controls for player 1. If the host doesn't connect a controller to the game, both host and remote player will be controlling the player 1 character which kinda defeats the purpose of remote play.

When searching for a remote play partner, you should post your location, as it's prudent that the connection be strong

Here is what I did in order to play.

-Open the game.
-Select the same keyboard for both players 1 and 2
-Invite player 2 (1 plays with AWDS, left shift and left ctrl, 2 plays with arrow keys, right shift and right ctrl)

Sounds good :) These are probably the solutions people should be aware of. Also, I guess RPT is in beta for reasons just like the above posts show!

Could anyone tell why my friend cant use my keyboard?
kyeboard is the same for both player. I can use WASD + arrow keys, while my friend cant. Why tho? is there some kind of problem while im on PC and he is on Laptop?
Any other solutions?
Funny fact at least. My other friend which i tried game, he can use both of these controls.

I was tried the Overcooked with Remore play together at once, and its playable, but it needs to change the quality to the lowest. (Trying with my cousin that is 30 km far from me, but the bad internet connection would be the reason why it is lagging so much, but when I was turn on the quality to low, it was good.)
