Single Player? Questions!
I was thinking of playing this game with my husband as a fun game we could enjoy together tomorrow. Would someone answer some questions I have?:

----------
* Does it get old - mechanics wise, is it just repeative, or is it fun even after half an hour of play? (I like play games for a few hours at a time!)
* Do we both need controllers to play multiplayer?
* How is single player? (With no spoilers, is it worth it to play alone?)
* Do the devs do updates quite often? Or is it 'finished'?

Just curious! Any help is totally appreciated as I'm buying a game tomorrow after I go christmas shopping, and if I need a controller, they sell them at the same shop I'm visiting.

I have it on PS4. I play it with my wife. We sat down and played it all day. Took us a few to get through it all. We got stuck on a few levels trying to get all the stars. No spoilers here but, the story was fun. We still play it sometimes and my daughter jumps in as our third player too. I recomend a second controller unles you want to both hold onto it at the same time. I would buy it again. :)

* The mechanics are simple, but you don't get bored of it. The levels are very different and hard.
* You can play with 1 controller, but you should use 2, can't imagine to play hours on one.
* It's planed as local co-op game, so singleplayer is not the main argument. You can play it alone, it's playable and fun. You have to switch between 2 characters. I think it's harder with more players, but it's more fun with more people.
* There are DLCs, new levels and characters. But I dont think there will come lots of new features or game changes.

- Does it get old?? - In general the gameplay is very fun and frantic, I would be shocked if you got bored of the gameplay before you beat the game or even there after.

- Do we both need controllers to play multiplayer? - Actually no, you can share a controller and play which seems pretty crazy my Wife and i haven't tried that yet we just use seperate controllers.

- How is single player? (With no spoilers, is it worth it to play alone?) - Not worth it for a single player game unfortunately.

- Do the devs do updates quite often? Or is it 'finished'? - It is finished, they have already released one paid DLC with a Holiday DLC coming out in 6 days!

My Wife and I really enjoy playing this together it's a fantastic game for couples. I gifted a copy to my parents back home and they also have been having a blast playing it together.

Make sure you have 2 controllers!

Me and my girl play this all the time together and usually end up having to stop from heavy crying... laughter. :steamhappy:

Does it get old? No due to the way the levels work the gameplay is never the same. You basically always start with a plan but end up just trying to get at least one eal done before the timer ends :steammocking:

TL;DR:
- doesn't get old
- 1 controller per player is really better (4 player mayhem max a.f.a.i.k.)
- campaign can be played single but is better together, it's a simple unlock string of levels you usually see in arcade games, you can get 3 stars per level and the higher levels need a certain number to unlock.
- free xmass update just hit and I think there is payed DLC on the way as well but don't quote me on that!

Just buy it and have fun :steamhappy:

Single player is a False advertising.

You can play alone, but you can't finish a level alone.

Sometime the level is in 2 parts, and you can't reach the second part, so you can't cook because you need another player in the second part.

You can bet the game in singleplayer. You control 2 characters, you can switch between them. It's LB on xbox360 controller.

The paid DLC was released last month.

This game is fun, I am one of those people who play it alone, and it is such a great challenge trying to figure out strategies for each level to try to get the 3 stars.

I think it's easier alone, everyone knows what to do. :D
The needed score for 3 stars is kind of low in singleplayer, you can pretty easy get those.
